Your duties will include but not be limited to: Provision of day-to-day relationship management and business partnering for complex portfolios, including the following:
Strategic and operational planning, advice, guidance in regard to all of the financial affairs and resources
Financial insights and problem-solving
Strategic and operational management of portfolio activities/budgets
Advanced accounting and management reporting using a variety of financial and non-financial key performance indicators
Interpreting, applying and implementing financial policies, procedures and guidelines
Development of annual client plans that identify the current key issues and needs for the client's portfolio, and the schedule of approved projects and services for delivery throughout the year
Designs and implements service delivery improvements to a client's portfolio and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and the achievement of service excellence
Engages with key stakeholders in the client portfolio to support the implementation of strategic transformation and change initiatives and ensure the successful implementation and realisation of key outcomes
Resolve queries from the portfolio on reported results in a timely and customer-focused manner
Responsible for general financial governance, related compliance and services in a customer-focused and timely manner.
Reviewing structure within the general ledger to meet client needs in alignment with central guidelines
Appropriate use of the chart of accounts by clients
Maintain and champion compliance with Procurement and Finance policies and procedures across the business
Monitoring and leading client compliance for travel and corporate card usage and ensuring anomalies are resolved proactively
Manage funding compliance by, for example, ensuring grant conditions are adhered to, timely and accurate financial acquittal reports are submitted to the granting bodies as required and that all grant deficits / surpluses are managed
What you'll need to succeed You will have previous experience in a Business Partnering or Finance Manager role within a large and complex organisation. Excellent communication skills as well as advanced Excel and analysis capabilities are required for this role. Previous management or mentoring experience would be highly beneficial.
