We are looking for an Executive Assistant/ Operations Coordinator to support the Director of Operations and provide high level operational support to the East Coast Senior Leadership team.

This role is a great opportunity for a highly experienced individual to provide operational and secretarial support to a busy Director and high functioning Senior Leadership team across the East Coast of Australia. You will be the glue that keeps the Senior Leadership team humming, comfortable being a point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, thrive in a fast-paced environments, can navigate ambiguity, you will be adept at anticipating the needs of these senior leaders and promote a high degree of professionalism.

Specific to this role you will provide administrative support to the Director, exercising confidentiality and in addition:

• Be responsible for diary management and booking senior leadership meetings.
• Create and develop presentations and reports, agendas and minutes.
• Analyse financial and other data to provide advice to the director on key business performance metrics.
• Maintain files, records, calendars and diaries;
• Arrange and co-ordinate business travel, reconcile expenses and invoices.
• Co-ordinate business and team meetings for the Senior Leadership Team and Brisbane Support Office
• Lead or support projects critical to the Energy & Resources Greater Australia team
• Support other senior administrators as required.
• Work with a high attention to detail, maintaining control of tasks and activities.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have the following experience and attributes

• Experience in a similar role within large Global or National organisation and used to working across multiple time zones and with several business units
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth/advanced knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite (including MS Excel, Teams, Word, Visio, Power BI, Sway, and PowerPoint)
• Be highly organised and have a solid working knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be proactive and take initiative – have a business improvement and growth mindset.
• Be adaptable in approach and working to different styles

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Sales and Marketing Executive is an enthusiastic and creative team member and an imperative role within the Sales and Marketing Team at Cruise Whitsundays.  Managing all social media and digital marketing platforms, the Sales and Marketing Executive ensures positive maximum exposure of the Cruise Whitsundays brand.  

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

• Produce market analysis and sales reports
• Assist in the delivery of all CWS marketing campaigns and social media content;
• Manage all online booking engine responsibilities (new agent account set up and support) and liaise with third party stakeholders
• Online promotions, local agent account support, trainings and events ;
• Assist with sales calls, trade shows and events
• Manage all contra accounts and bookings & sales administrative tasks;
• Manage key relationships with social media influencers, media partners and lead suppliers;
• Host and plan annual influencer events (Reefmeet etc.)
• Update and maintain website content using WordPress
• Manage, create and distribute all EDM activity

We have a rare permanent full time position available working Monday to Friday 830am to 500pm at our Port of Airlie Terminal. There may be adhoc hours required for social networking, famils and expos etc.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and passionate with a demonstrated growth mindset and proven skills in excellent relationship management. Your high-energy and excellent interpersonal skills will be critical to your success, demonstrated through your natural ability to form strong working relationships. You are know for your solution based problem solving skills, organisation and high attention to detail.

• Bachelors degree or relevant qualification in Sales & Marketing highly desirable;
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales and marketing role highly desirable;
• Previous Experience in sales and marketing in the travel and tourism industry;
• Experience utilising a social media management platform such as Social Studio, Hootsuite etc;
• Experience using Marketing Cloud or similar EDM platform;
• Familiar with Salesforce or similar CRM platform.

Your role at Vertice.

Reporting to the VP of Sales (APAC) and working closely with the rest of the Sales team in the UK/US as well as the founders, you will be responsible for securing new business across APAC and have a unique opportunity to help shape how we engage this market and new business acquisition. This is a new region and team for us so there is a lot of potential to make a huge impact right away and to really develop and grow the role as the team expands.

• Be responsible for the full sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying, carrying out demo’s through to closing deals.
• Master our product, know the capabilities inside and out, understand the industry and be able to articulate the value of Vertice to Heads of Finance and CFO’s.
• Work across departments (Marketing, Product, etc.) to determine the most effective approach for each sales opportunity
• Work closely with our VP Sales to refine your sales skills with regular sales training session

• 2+ years as a Sales Executive, selling SaaS products in a closing role
• A deal closing mindset
• Years of experience hitting and exceeding targets
• Strong relationship and rapport building skills, you’ll be interacting with a large population of merchants and you’ll need to quickly and consistently deliver an outstanding service, gaining trust and drive results.
• Tenacious and resilient, you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and do it what it takes to get to the right result
• You are tech savvy, extremely customer service oriented, professional, resourceful, and have the patience and the ability to tactfully handle customer inquiries and negotiations.
