We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook / Barista interested in joining our Mars Berkeley Vale client site. 

Reporting into the kitchen Manager, this role will be responsible for excellent customer service, general kitchen duties, counter service, cleaning duties and some basic food preparation (sandwiches) and coffee making.  Ideally we are seeking applicants with Barista skills to support our busy on site canteen servicing over 400 employees on this site.

To be considered you must be:

• Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights  

• Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a police check  

We’d love to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience in hospitality such as catering and cleaning.   

This is a Full Time role, you can expect to be working Mon to Fri from 6.00 am until 2.00 pm, 38hrs per week.

• Assist in over-seeing the day to day operations of the Front Office.

• Annual Salary $73,707 exclusive of super.

What will you be doing?

• Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office team
• Supervise and monitor team members with true leadership ability that motivates the entire team.
• Take initiative to ensure all interactions with our guests are positive and productive.  
• Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's operation in absence of the General Manager/Senior Managers with a high level of customer service provided at all times.
• Actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by guests/customers to reach a win-win situation.
• Ensure there is management support and presence visible on Front Desk and in the lobby during key times throughout the day.  
• Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests when needed.
• Respond to and coordinate emergency situations.

What Will You Do?

• efficiently managing the diary, schedule and appointments for the General Manager of BlueScope Building Components
• managing the travel bookings and accommodation for key personnel
• coordinating site visits by booking meeting rooms, arranging IT setup and ensuring the availability of necessary resources
• assisting in planning and organising various events, including employee functions, conferences, seminars, and workshops
• managing expenses by reconciling office invoices and expenses
• assisting with fleet management 
• working collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders and be solution focused
