The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.
Working closely with a high performing, multi-disciplinary leadership team, you'll report directly to our GM. It's an exciting time to be joining our business - we have a pipeline of exciting key projects underway. We are investing in technology and capability to grow our successful business now and into the future. Taking an interest in our business and strategic direction, you'll have visibility and enjoy a high profile with the opportunity to get involved and add value in a huge range of activities such as marketing and promotion, sales and our manufacturing operations.
This role is located at the BlueScope Building Components Head Office in Mascot, NSW.
What Will You Do?
As an engaged and well-regarded member of the team, you'll support our leadership by:
- efficiently managing the diary, schedule and appointments for the General Manager of BlueScope Building Components
- managing the travel bookings and accommodation for key personnel
- coordinating site visits by booking meeting rooms, arranging IT setup and ensuring the availability of necessary resources
- assisting in planning and organising various events, including employee functions, conferences, seminars, and workshops
- managing expenses by reconciling office invoices and expenses
- assisting with fleet management
- working collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders and be solution focused

Supported by your experience working with senior management, you'll be someone who enjoys working with people and is generous with their time and expertise when someone 'needs a hand'. As a self-motivated and creative thinker, you'll bring:
- strong customer focus with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- ability to build rapport quickly and forge strong networks across the business
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- high attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- confidence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems
