There Is Almost No Problem You Can’t Solve With Google, Stack Overflow, And A Rubber Duck...

No two days in this role will be the same.

However, our wizard of web development will be able to confidently:

Be hands-on, with theme and plugin development for CMS (Wordpress and Shopify preferred, but let’s be real, CMS are all six of one half a dozen of the other).
Command over HTML, CSS, PHP orand Javascript.
Ability to Photoshop, Figma or other design tools to convert layered design files into HTML.
Agency experience is a bonus, but an outstanding portfolio of projects is also great (both isare even better!).
We use Git for version control - that shouldn’t be foreign to you.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - a must for any developer.
Communicate technical issues to Account Managers in plain English to educate and help resolve client problems.
The fundamental requirement to this role is attention to detail - recognising that the little details make the difference, while still being able to see the big picture.
Support the Head of Web Development with training and supporting the mid and junior members on the team.

Look, our ideal candidate will have an ‘I got this’ attitude...they will be solution-focused with a proven track record in punching out a wide variety of coding projects.

You will have to possess the ability to run through walls to get to a solution.

And won’t be the type of person who throws their hands in the air and gives up at the first sight of a challenge.

What will your everyday work look like? Will it be boring?

We build a lot of landing pages, websites, eCommerce sites, and some completely custom projects - someone interested in practically applying their skills to solve real business problems would be a great fit for this position.
You must have experience with server management - setting up and migrating sites and managing DNS settings should be a comfortable setting for you.
You should be comfortable using APIs, getting your hands dirty in databases, and SSH should not scare you (too much).
Experience in a lead or senior role is a big plus!
Bonus for experience with AWS or other cloud hosting services, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, JS debugging, Vue, Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, or other CRMs, or a good eye for design.

What type of person will be successful in this role

Ideally 6+ years’ experience in social media strategic planning and management

About the role:

We are hiring a Studio Operations Lead that will join the Beanstalk Ventures team. They will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of venture studio programs launched under Beanstalk Ventures. The first landmark studio program is the Drought Venture Studio. You will be working closely with the Studio Director and Head of Ventures and leveraging the programmatic knowledge of the Beanstalk Advisory team to ensure the Drought Venture Studio runs like a well-oiled machine.

You will be leading the design and operation of the Drought Venture Studio’s internal operating system. This is not a copy and paste, we are looking for a leader who we can entrust to really take the reins and own the creation a high-performance workflow to underpin the world-first Drought Venture Studio.

In this role, you will:

Build the operational workflow for key activities including (but not limited to):

Internal communications
Application and selection processes
Onboarding and orientation of the Venture Builders
Reviewing and support with refining the accelerator and venture program
Facilitate processes for continued learning and development
Programmatic evaluation, feedback and reporting
Solidifying a manual for the entire program
Crisis management

Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Drought Venture Studio, leading the operations and functions of the Studio
Engage regularly with Studio participants to ensure clarity of expectations and timelines
Develop and maintain a strong culture within the Drought Venture Studio – focused on high performance, collaboration, mutual support etc.
Review the service-level outcomes across support partners, ensuring accountability and providing feedback for change where required
Manage and track outcomes across the accelerator and Drought Venture Studio to ensure participants are well supported, and have clarity on the program journey
Work with the Studio Comms and Community Lead to design and implement Founder/CXO recruiting strategies

About You:

4+ years of experience in program or project management of larger scale programs
Experience in program management in the startup ecosystem will be considered favourably
Highly organised, with the ability to use project management software to manage key programmatic milestones and coordinate with all roles across the Venture Studio
Strong communicator with good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Proactive problem solver who can be relied on to take initiative, ownership and getting things done

This role is the driving force behind our storytelling efforts, and crafting and curating inspiring stories through high-quality, compelling and authentic creative content is at its core.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our brand's narrative to life. You’ll take ownership of executing our brand content strategy across a range of digital communication channels and publications.

You’ll collect and manage our content, ensuring our image library is a meaningful source of inspiration for our communications. You’ll be instrumental in creating and coordinating the development of compelling content that not only engages our supporters but also generates awareness and sparks interest in our cause.

This role is essential to our vision and through your expertise in marketing and communications and mastery of compelling storytelling, you will help bring this vision to life.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience – Selection Criteria

Essential

1. Digital content creation and delivery: Experience in creating engaging content in a variety of formats for a range of channels, including web, social, email. Experience of developing and delivering successful multi-channel content campaigns.

2. Communications: Excellent communicator, with an editorial mindset and experience writing and creating content for a range of audiences. Understanding of the role of video in communications with the ability to brief and/or create video content, as required.

3. Writing skills: Strong writing, editing and grammatical skills with the ability to adapt content for different platforms, channels, and target audiences.

4. Project management: Naturally organised with a track record of delivering against objectives and deadlines. Able to manage overlapping deadlines and tasks and coordinate others in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively coordinate stakeholders in fast-paced agile situations.

5. Creative judgement: Excellent creative judgement with respect to images, copy and design. An editorial mindset and an eye for a story.

6. Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Desirable

· Relevant undergraduate qualification (e.g. in journalism, digital media, communications, media arts and production, marketing)

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, Canva

· Experience working in in an international development or church environment.
