Moree Bakehouse is looking for experienced Pastry Cook and Baker to join their team.
Job Summary - Baker
Mix ingredients (excellent dough maker) and bake ingredients using the understanding of the ingredients to produce breads, rolls or other baked goods.
Job Summary - Pastry Cook
Prepare quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, cookies, cakes, pies, biscuits, displays/centrepieces and special request items.
The Role
As a Pastry Cook/Baker you will need to possess the following:
- Dough mixing, pastry mixing, laminating and sheeting of pastry
- Kneading, hand moulding and scaling dough
- Monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures determine baking times
- Inspecting quality of products throughout production process
- Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and surrounding, apply with occupational health and safety regulations
- Ensuring wastage is minimized and budget of supplies and materials are adhered
- A work ethic with a focus on continual self improvement
- Creative drive and a genuine interest in food history and trends
Successful applicants must have the following:
- Relevant qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
- Willingness to constantly learn and be inspired
