About the role:

Reporting to the National Business Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth in selected Multi Million $ categories across National Metcash, large MSO groups, and FoodWorks. You will develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional programs, range reviews, distribution, and display strategies through alignment with our partners. This effort will be supported by an MSO 2 Account Manager and our dedicated independent field team, covering over 900 of the top stores.

Working Environment:

About the Opportunity

We are looking for motivated, positive and hardworking individuals to fill a variety of Business Development roles we currently have on offer.  You will work in the Independent Grocery space and be responsible for driving Client market share and category performance through ownership of in store promotional programs and increasing store sales results through opportunity-based selling.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be required to:

• Merchandise our clients’ product range within Independent grocery chains within your assigned area.
• Create point of sale displays, ensuring the product is well-stocked and maintained.
• Complete seasonal planograms when required
• Sell in new products and upsell all promotions
• Check stock levels for stores, liaising with store managers
• Report accurate data upon the completion of each visit

This opportunity will cover Canberra and surrounds. This full time role is 38 hours per week across Monday - Friday, with a competitive salary package including superannuation. In addition, you will either be provided with a company car or alternatively a car allowance. 

About You

Responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies to promote revenue growth and generation to deliver outstanding guest experience and financial profitability.

You will join a team of marketing managers, managing a portfolio of parks and resort properties, managing the performance of campaign strategies in collaboration with key brand, GX, marketing, digital and product teams.  Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business, the role contributes to improving the guest experience and driving new acquisition and retention strategies to achieve business objectives specifically related to achieving the revenue targets.

As Portfolio Marketing Manager you will have 1 marketing coordinator reporting into you to support the portfolio.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Manage portfolio marketing on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the marketing plan and other initiatives are executed accurately, to budget and on deadline
• Provide hands-on support to leadership team in the development new projects and initiatives aligned with strategy
• Collaborate on performance Marketing strategies for all product areas, including the co-development of annual plans that define performance budgets and KPIs
• Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure optimisation of established campaigns and implementing test and learn activity
• Meetings with internal stakeholders and management of media agencies to measure and report on campaign effectiveness and optimisation
• Deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution that enhance the Guest Experience and align to brand standards
• Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures to ensure alignment to GX and brand proof points
• Researching and analysing consumer behaviour, market trends and competitor activity to leverage insights and opportunities wherever possible to drive revenue and enhance guest experience
• Manage budget to within permitted variance alongside internal finance team manager budget and forecast trackers.
• Provide monthly updates and reviews to internal stakeholders include the GM of Marketing

What you will bring:

• Minimum of 3 years’ prior experience in a similar role is desirable;
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Publisher);
• Intermediate Adobe Suite skills (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) highly regarded
• Technical literacy i.e. knowledge of social media, blog CMS and WordPress platforms.

As a Department Manager you are responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals by setting a plan for your department to deliver a Great Customer Experience in line with your store. You ensure you have a Great Team and support their development, working with succession planning, talent development and structured performance management for your team based on results, values, and leadership.   

Key responsibilities: 

• Regularly analyse and follow up Sales & Profit KPIs for your department and together with the Visual  

• Merchandisers you take action to maximise sales. 

• Drive Hello Member program in line with country goals (DO NOT INCLUDE IN NZ ADS) 

• Ensure your department continuously meets H&M standards and follow this up using the Customer Experience Tool.  

• Together with your Visual Team, you ensure the implementation of the Commercial Handbook. 

• Evaluate and manage the performance of your team; give regular feedback, execute performance development reviews, development plans, follow-up and take any appropriate action to improve performance and develop your team. 

• Actively work with a talent pipeline in your department to support the business and store needs.
