As the Operations Manager reporting directly to the General Manager, Specialty & Emergency, you will be at the forefront, assuming full responsibility for overseeing the Specialty and Emergency Veterinary business within a specific region. This dynamic position requires the development and execution of comprehensive strategies and business plans aimed at driving success.

In your role, you will lead a dedicated cohort of Business Managers and hospital directors, holding them accountable for the commercial performance of their respective hospitals. Your responsibilities cover the entire spectrum of demand stimulation and retention, placing a strong emphasis on effective client attraction and retention strategies alongside the highest possible standards of patient care.

With P&L responsibility for your portfolio, including the execution of agreed plans and targets, you will lead a team capable of supporting an evolving business. This involves adeptly managing recruitment and retention, overseeing clinical standards, and ensuring that quality processes are consistently met.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Management of nine S&E Hospitals, including P&L accountability, clinical performance accountability, and client satisfaction.
• Strategic planning and leadership support for each hospital within the region.
• Develop a solid understanding of each individual hospital.
• Implement and manage processes to review and improve hospital performance.
• Maintain a strong customer focus, adding value to clinics through a deep understanding of the market.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders in all hospitals, including shareholders.
• Develop, motivate, and lead Business Managers, Veterinary Directors, and Team Members.
• Establish working relationships between GP Area Managers, GP Practice Managers, Regional Clinical Directors, Clinics, and support office departments.

Competencies to succeed:

Essential:

• A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or extensive business management expertise.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, showcasing strong leadership, team-building,  notable financial growth, P&L management and reporting.
• Negotiation and financial management skills with capabilities in identifying financial levers, building and clearly articulating business cases and delivery of strategic plans.
• A collaborative approach, ability to lead change with strong interpersonal skills
• High level of energy, self-directed attitude and an ability to work independently.
• High level of emotional intelligence and well-developed influencing and communication skills
• The ability to coach, develop, and support peers.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex matters.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team towards goal achievement and outcomes consistent with organisational objectives.
• Highly organised and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Strong IT skills, including databases and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel interstate for site management.

Desirable:

• A bachelor’s degree in Veterinarian Science, Technology, Science or Business.
• Extensive experience within the Veterinary or Medical Industry
• Multi-Site Management experience, with a strong understanding of the challenges of supporting a 24/7 business.
• Proven track record in business and financial principles including budget development.

As a Paid Search Specialist you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client pay-per-click campaigns from creation, including strategy, campaign build, campaign monitoring and optimisation.

You'll also be required to provide insights to improve their website and landing page conversion rates. All this work will focus on driving the maximum number of conversions at the lowest acquisition cost possible.

What you'll do:

• Setup, manage and optimise campaigns using Google Adwords.
• Scrutinise analytics to identify areas of opportunity and utilise conversion rate optimisation tactics to squeeze as much ROI as humanly possible out of each dollar spent.
• Create standout Google Tag Lines that promote curiosity and enticement.
• Write effective direct response ad copy that sells.
• Manage landing pages and websites to install conversion code and tracking pixels.
• Communicate effectively with and educate Account Managers who will relay to clients the strategies of your campaigns.
• Be invested in each client's business as though it were your own.
• Prepare performance analysis reports and make recommendations for corrective modifications with a view to ongoing optimisation.
• Keep your finger on the pulse to identify opportunities within paid media for the benefit of both King Kong and their clients.

• 1-2 years experience building and running AdWords campaigns.
• Experience with Google Analytics.

The Role:

• Attend industry conferences of relevant therapeutic areas to expand knowledge and communicate key findings to the greater team.
• Develop annual strategic territory action plan and strategy for assigned products, revised quarterly.
• Identify and engage with KOL’s to achieve advocacy.
• Secondary focus on pharmacy channel and support to ensure sales success.
• Follow through on customer commitments and requests promptly.
• Meet or exceed agreed reach and frequency targets with key HCPs.
• Monitor key financial areas including the recording of monthly sales and expenditure.
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of therapy area to transfer into reasonable strategies and support future activities.
• Use strong technical knowledge and sales skills to build confidence in our brand.
• Contribute to strong cross functional relationships, specifically; Finance, Customer Service, Regulatory, Quality, Medical and Distribution to support the execution of set objectives.

• Sales Experience in Rheumatology / Dermatology or Pediatrics highly favorable
• Tertiary qualification in science, health or business fields
• Completion of Medicines Australia Continuing Education Program
• Demonstrated local experience as a Hospital Specialist Representative/Key Account Manager with specialty medicines focus.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
• A proven record in business planning with demonstratable sales success
• Highly organised with an ability to self-motivate and work autonomously.

This role is responsible for the promotion of our life changing technology to Health Care Professionals in Sydney Central, Inner City & West Regional NSW (Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes).

Abbott’s life changing glucose monitoring technology is rapidly changing the management of insulin using patients living with diabetes within Australia.  The successful candidate will be accountable to exceed sales targets by executing the business strategy, proactively meeting the dynamic needs of the marketplace and by building superior partnerships with HCP’s that bring value to our customers and enhance patient lives.

Your responsibilities include (and not limited to):

• Maintaining a high level of competence in FreeStyle Libre (and its digital products platform) competitor products disease states and industry compliance
• Demonstrating proficiency in tools of the trade, processes and policies
• Developing sales action plans in line with the marketing strategy and evaluate and track the implementation of these on an ongoing basis

This role would suit someone who likes to have a hands-on approach, you enjoy increased autonomy and responsibility in business planning and coordinating activities and communication initiatives.
