As our eCommerce Acquisition Lead, you will play a key role in transforming data-driven insights into successful strategies that drive customer acquisition and enhance our online presence. You will be responsible for executing campaigns across multiple digital channels, optimising performance, and continuously refining our customer journey to boost conversions and ROI. Collaborating closely with marketing, product, and tech teams, you’ll ensure alignment across goals and opportunities while staying ahead of e-commerce trends and technologies. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement innovative acquisition campaigns to drive traffic and conversions across digital platforms. 

• Evaluate campaign performance through data analytics, making informed adjustments to maximize ROI. 

• Work with cross-functional teams to leverage opportunities and align on business objectives. 

• Develop SEO strategies to enhance organic search visibility and increase traffic. 

• Create and manage acquisition budgets to ensure resources are allocated for maximum impact. 

• Conduct A/B testing to refine strategies and improve the customer journey from awareness to conversion. 

• Plan, implement, and report on campaign performance using various tech platforms. 

• Keep up with e-commerce trends and implement best practices to stay competitive in the industry.

What you will be responsible for:

• Lead and manage 3 shipping team members, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensure targets are met
• Provide coaching, mentoring, training and performance feedback to team members

• Develop and implement contingency plans to address unexpected challenges to minimize impact on Vulcan’s operations
• Monitor key performance indicators such as shipping and documentation accuracy, and lead times, identifying potential risks and possible solutions
• Ensure supplier evaluations are complete
• Track and analyse data related to logistics and shipping operations, providing reports on performance, costs and opportunities for improvement.

Join Nine Publishing as the Digital Performance Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital performance strategy across our renowned mastheads, including the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and the Financial Review. 

As a strategic, data-focused, and detail-oriented professional, you will oversee high-impact digital performance campaigns aimed at growing subscription revenue, enhancing engagement, and strengthening brand affinity.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop the digital roadmap and lead quarterly planning activities
• Create and implement audience strategies that align with brand and commercial objectives.
• Oversee and support the Digital Performance team in the delivery and end-to-end management of digital performance campaigns, including audience definition, strategy, investment, KPIs, and optimisation.
• Lead the communication of performance reports, identifying areas of opportunity, risks, and overall performance against strategic objectives.
• Manage the overall digital budget
• Cultivate relationships with key platform partners
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with marketing leads and internal teams
• Develop and deliver a data-driven experimentation roadmap to test and optimise digital strategies.

This opportunity sits within the Digital Audio pillar of Nine, where the focus is driving advertising effectiveness for brands across the suite of Nine audio streaming and podcasting assets. As an integral member of the Digital Ad Operations Team, you will work to define operational workflows to ensure delivery of all digital audio bookings, in addition to contributing to revenue growth for the business. 

Initially, you will manage end-to-end digital audio ad campaigns, handling tasks like booking approvals, performance monitoring, budget delivery optimization, and troubleshooting. Your success will hinge on fostering strong relationships with sales teams and ensuring the highest level of client service.

As the business grows, you will then be accountable for hiring, retaining, and motivating your team of Campaign Managers towards delivery and service excellence. Candidates who have succeeded in this type of role typically have exceptional leadership skills with an innate ability to motivate and empower team members. In collaboration with the Operations Leadership Team, you will closely collaborate on the proactive reassessment of campaign workflows and processes. An integral aspect of this leadership role is the skill to receive feedback from multiple stakeholders, effectively communicate change, and champion its implementation.

Day to day you will: 

• Day to day campaign management inclusive of booking review, technical campaign implementation within multiple ad servers and order management systems, and optimisations 
• Collectively prioritise campaign launches across your list of dedicated sales teams, ensuring a smooth go live process that is in-line with our Service Level Agreements
• Implement optimisation tactics as required throughout the lifetime of the campaign to maximise delivery and revenue 
• Make calculated decisions in adjusting inventory and data mixology to achieve campaign objectives and maximise revenue 
• Collaborate with Nine’s Digital Sales Teams to resolve technical or delivery issues while ensuring campaign enquiries are reviewed and actioned in a timely manner 
• Run weekly ‘In Progress’ meetings with the Sales team, proactively guiding go-live schedules, campaign prioritisation, monitoring of campaign performance and assessment if they are pacing to hit their delivery goals 
• Provide end of campaign reporting insights, data analysis and recommendations to promote revenue growth 
• Monitor team capacity closely and ensure workload is spread across the team as evenly as possible to ensure successful management across all the sales team 
• Proactively identify ways to streamline the campaign workflow 
• Encourage team members to embrace challenges and lead them to develop strategic solutions to complement our clients’ expectations
