What type of person will be successful in this role?

To be successful in the role, you will bring:

• Ideally 4 + years’ of PR / communications experience, working with consumer brands to deliver impressive results
• Curiosity and commitment to deeply understanding the categories your clients operate in and the cultural, social, and political landscape impacting PR
• Passion and proven experience contributing to the development and implementation of clever and creative multi-channel communications plans

You'll play a critical role in the due diligence process to enable seamless, clear, and compliant communication between Rest and our members.

• Conduct compliance due diligence reviews for all Digital, Brand and Member Experience content included in communications and digital experiences provided to our Members.

• Be the Compliance SME for review of Digital, Brand and Member Experience content and make recommendations for and manage engagement with the internal legal team as required.

Accountabilities

Media Relations, PR and Comms:

• Manage local PR agency relationship/s and drive agreed key outcomes across number of media releases, share of voice, byline articles and more.

• Lead the ‘news bureau’ by thinking of creative and interesting ways to bring the Logicalis story to life with a steady drumbeat of “always-on storytelling.”

• Orchestrate Logicalis Australia’s positioning across industry and focused news media through planned, opportunistic, and reactive involvement in stories in partnership with our PR agency.

• Review and proof materials including press releases, briefing documents, bylines and media statements.

• Manage regional research/surveys with relevant stakeholders to drive thought leadership and media coverage.

• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with influential journalists, with a focus on tier 1 media

• Build public profile of key management personnel, through opportunistic quoting, panel presence and potential speaking engagements to strategic audiences.

• Organise/facilitate media training of key spokespeople as required.

• Own and orchestrate our awards program.

• Support Group and other regions (as required) with PR needs.

• Consult on and support internal comms as required.

• Track and report SOV and other metrics as required to gauge effectiveness of the MR/PR function.

Content and Digital:

• Use storytelling and writing skills to translate Logicalis Australia’s corporate narrative into content assets used for; sales enablement, communications (internal & external), social media, traditional media placements (paid, earned, owned) and campaigns.

• Own the content strategy and drive content development for our SEO program, working with our agency/copywriters and ensuring alignment to our SEO targets.

• Creation of lifecycle email customer marketing programs and journey mapping/working with key business stakeholders to improve customer experience.

• Own our website content and work with our internal web designer to keep the website up-todate and aligned to our strategic business outcomes.

• Assist with the development and management of a thought leadership program including blogs, awards, whitepapers, and articles.

• Assist with the development and management of a customer story program, ensuring a steady beat of local customer success stories.

• Assist with the development and management of partner specific content such as partnership status collateral and reports.

• Develop the public profiles of our Senior Leadership Team

• Tertiary or degree qualification in marketing, public relations, business or communications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a marketing communications professional within a B2B environment

• Familiarity with digital marketing including SEO, social (focus on LinkedIn) and email

• Familiar with the Microsoft productivity suite including Teams, Office, Excel and PowerPoint

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with channel/partner marketing and working with vendors, specifically within the ICT sector

The nature of the role will differ depending on the skillset of the successful candidate. However, the key responsibilities are likely to include:

• Being a conduit between the investment team and Rest’s internal and external stakeholders you will help create and develop key investment narrative on a regular basis, articulating investment themes across the portfolio and key developments in our responsible investment initiatives.
• Being a key point of contact for internal stakeholders with the investment team, you will help establish regular forums with peers in Rest business units for the conveying of investment updates, supporting marketing initiatives and providing educational content. 
• Prepare and update investment content in publications, presentations, and education and training materials for internal and external stakeholders. This includes investment related materials for sales presentations, investment updates, reports and investment data for members, employers, regulatory bodies, research and rating houses, and asset consultants.
• Review, prepare and provide Investments team sign-off for all relevant investment related materials as required in accordance with Rest’s due diligence procedures.
• Review, revise and prepare all investment related information in collaboration with Rest stakeholders across multiple mediums, such as, but not limited to: Product Disclosure Statements, annual reports, Rest website and intranet
• Understand competitors’ investment positioning and communications with a view of influencing the way Rest positions, engages and communicates investment information to both internal and external stakeholders.

The transformation you will experience  

This is an incredible opportunity to join our centralised PMX team as the Media Intelligence Director. In this newly created role, you will be the go-to source of critical media intelligence for PMX and Publicis Groupe media agencies – analysing, compiling, and curating insights that fuel client outcomes. You will be able to exercise your strong verbal and written communication skills combined with deep expertise in media metrics, currency and strategy including an understanding of media effectiveness research.

Leveraging your existing relationships with key industry organisations including OzTam and IAB, you will have the platform to deliver proactive and insightful intelligence around changes in the media landscape that will impact agencies and their clients. You have the opportunity to build your reputation as the ‘go to’ expert in the field and harness your expertise to drive efficiencies and inspire excellence across Publicis Groupe agencies through the provision of strategic insights from a vast array of data sources and publications.

Depending on seniority, you will report to the Director of Media Insights or, to the Head of Media Intelligence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around the following pillars:

• Marketplace intelligence: Creation and dissemination of marketplace intelligence and thought leadership through written reports and verbal presentations using PowerPoint
• Investment intelligence and market insights: Create centralised market insights collateral, including but not limited to: SMI reports, marketplace updates and opinion pieces
• Media currency support: Support the broader agency teams in managing changes to currency including VOZ, move 2.0, Foxtel currency, etc.
• Media effectiveness support: Support the broader media intelligence team and Director Media Insights in establishing media effectiveness benchmarks through the proprietary Cornerstone platform
• Commercial support: Support the GM Commercial in deal management forecasting and tracking, commercial compliance and education, and value management opportunities

What type of person will be successful in this role  

You’ll possess:  

• 8+ years in a similar analytical position at a media agency media network, or media consultancy, with the aptitude to elevate out of analytics to provide strong insights
• Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with deep expertise in media metrics, media currency and media strategy including an understanding of media effectiveness research
• Strong skills in data interrogation and insights extraction
• Skills in complex stakeholder management
• Confidence in storytelling and presenting as well as strong writing skills
• A thorough understanding of pricing and value across the Australian media market. Experience across New Zealand would be valuable
• Numerical skills are essential
• Preferably will have experience using media systems Spectra MD, Nielsen AQX, L+J eTAM (Fusion), Roy Morgan Asteroid, etc.
