About the role

In this role you will lead, plan and coordinate transport (storage and transport moves), container park operations whilst maintaining a high level of discipline around cost efficiency and business productivity. You will work in collaboration with the operations team to ensure efficient freight movement between the wharf, customers, container park, and the warehouse to meet customer (internal & external) service key performance indicators.

• Plan and monitor daily operations of the PUD Fleet ensuring freight and container movements in accordance with business requirements, showing great leadership and direction to PUD staff and all stakeholders to ensure high level of on time outcomes.

• Plan and implement container movements based on operational requirements.

• Participate in planning sessions with the Scheduler and Warehouse team to meet customer service requirements.

• Provide guidance and direction to PUD staff and Reach Stacker Operators.

• Maintain up to date information within the WAVE, 1-Stop and Container Chain systems.

• Consider and assist with allocation of equipment to whole of network users.

• Ensure dangerous goods are handled correctly through the container park and regulations are adhered to.

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience in fleet operations in Transport ideally in the intermodal/wharf industry

• Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S Legislative and Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Safety at Work, Fatigue Management, Mass Management Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility legislative requirements.

• Understanding of the ADG 07 Code.

• Sound knowledge of Wharf Cartage, national rail line haul system, WA Road Transport legislation, regulations and permit network.

• Experience in Materials Handling process and procedures.

Catholic Healthcare, a leading Aged Care provider experiencing significant growth, we now have over 5000 employees and a new opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Practice, Quality and Risk team as Senior Internal Auditor.

In this newly created position, you will report directly to the Enterprise Risk Manager and partner closely with key stakeholders to support the successful transition to an internal audit model, making a valuable contribution to establishing processes and planning, coordinating and conducting internal audits whilst having oversight of external audits enterprise wide to identify, assess and report on organisation risks.

Your ability to develop strong trusted partnerships and communicate confidently with gravitas, will be critical to your success in establishing yourself as a credible and respected member of the team. Your supportive and collaborative approach in partnering with all stakeholders will be recognised and genuinely valued.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Conducting internal audits to identify, assess and report on risks related to aged care operations, including clinical, operational, financial, strategic, regulatory and reputational risks
• Supporting the development and embedding of the Enterprise Risk Framework
• Assisting in the development and implementation of the internal audit strategy and annual audit plan
• Coordinating the appointment and completion of audits undertaken by external providers to ensure they are delivered on time, in scope and to quality standards
• Assisting in the development of an audit provider panel
• Managing the scheduling of internal audits considering the assignment of audits to external resources
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
• Oversight of timely and effective resolution of findings outlined in internal audit reports

The ideal applicant will be a professional and collaborative communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with executive level stakeholders, and have a passion for improving organisational resilience and audit systems and processes.

Additionally, you will have;

• Bachelor’s degree/post graduate qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business or similar
• Certified Internal Auditor certification (highly desirable)
• Min 5+ years demonstrated experience in a similar internal audit role
• Experience in internal audit, within the healthcare or aged care sector (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability and experience in furnishing high quality internal audit reports
• Knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Ability to provide evidence of Covid 19 immunisations
