Position Overview:
As a Light Diesel Mechanic for Forklift Trucks, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered forklift trucks and related equipment. You will work closely with our service team to ensure timely and efficient repairs, contributing to our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered forklift trucks, including engine diagnostics, transmission servicing, and hydraulic system repairs.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, electrical systems, and other related components.
Complete service reports accurately and efficiently, documenting all work performed and parts used.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair status, parts ordering, and other relevant information.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Light Diesel Mechanic, preferably with specific experience working on forklift trucks.
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience in diesel mechanics.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
Familiarity with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Valid driver's license and forklift license (preferred).
