What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a proactive, highly skilled, and enthusiastic team member who’s interested in being part of a larger group delivering high-quality SAM solutions to our customers.

You’ll bring expertise developed over 5+ years in a Software Asset Management role as you will be undertaking a range of interesting activities relating to software licensing, audit, and compliance management on behalf of our customers. You will also be supporting the delivery of the Software Asset Management (SAM) managed services and projects for multiple customers from Commercial and Government industries.

You will have advanced critical thinking skills, an ability to interpret and apply logical decision making to a variety of data, and you must be able to deliver your analysis, findings, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Your ability to work with other members of the SAM and customer management team to develop and deliver quality solutions for our customer is critical to the success of our SAM Consulting and Managed services.

This role can be based out of any Datacom office in Australia. Australian Citizenship is essential for Federal Government security clearance requirements. Preferably, you'll be a holder of either a current or lapsed Baseline clearance or higher.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Customer account teams. Essentially, the Software Asset Management Consultant will:

• Act as Consulting SAM Subject Matter Expert for our customers.
• Deliver SAM Consulting services relevant to today’s changing technology landscape and market demands.
• Deliver Compliance Reviews (Effective Licensing Position) for Customers.
• Review current software licensing Terms and Conditions, License Agreements, and License Contracts to identify any breaches or risks for our customers.
• Apply knowledge of licensing rules and use rights within SAM Consulting Services.
• Analyse, document, and present licensing modelling recommendations.
• Identify license reclamation opportunities to achieve cost avoidance outcomes.
• Propose remediation and optimisation activities that may result in reduced compliance risk and/or financial savings and cost avoidance outcomes.
• Contribute to the achievement of project outcomes while managing compliance and commercial risks for customers.
• Provide quality customer service through adherence to Datacom’s Asset Management service delivery methodology and processes.
• Utilise SAM technologies and their capabilities including Flexera’s FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS) and/or Snow License Manager.
• Interpret data outputs from the SAM technologies and other tools to provide accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaise with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained.

About The Role

Due to internal promotions, we have a unique opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our team. The Management Accountant position provides support to our Rottnest Express and Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventure businesses in a true finance partnering model. This role reports to the Finance Manager – Marine & Aviation and there is flexibility for the role to be based in either Perth or Broome, WA.

This role involves partnering with key stakeholders in the businesses by providing real-time, accurate and meaningful financial information designed to drive strategies and commercial decisions which maximise value and minimise risk. This is a hands-on role that would suit a results focused individual who is passionate about delivering a high level of financial support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Month end accounting, performance analysis and reporting
• Monitoring and understanding operations and business performance to identify key issues and ensuring actions are taken to address budget shortfalls
• Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Preparing monthly management reports for business leaders and department managers including P&L’s, cost, labour reports, KPI’s and financial metrics
• Providing day to day support and business partnering services to the broader Rottnest Express and Horizontal Falls teams, ensuring clear visibility on cost drivers to drive efficiency performance and drive profit improvement
• Supporting on business case modelling
• Supporting inventory reporting and analysis including stocktakes and wastage reports
• Identifying, developing, implementing reporting and process improvements
• Building collaborative working relationships across Finance and the broader organisation and utilising data to assist in decision making
• Facilitating the link between head office and the businesses by coordinating appropriate access to support and ensuring effective communication on business issues and central finance policies and requirements

About You

You will have degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA/CPA (or in progress) along with previous experience in management accounting, financial analysis, financial systems and modelling. You will be able to prepare and use data to aid and influence business decisions, have effective problem-solving skills and be able to build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.

You will be reliable, professional, organised and show initiative, while also demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and have exceptional business acumen.

As Service Delivery Coordinator, you will play a key part in ensuring that all contracted services are delivered to clients in accordance with contracts.
