The RRM Group is a specialised Engineering and Services Corporation based in Brabham, Western Australia. It is a multi-disciplinary engineering contractor to the oil and gas, civil and industrial engineering projects. The RRM Group provides engineering and construction services such as: Engineering Designs, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Instrumentation and Piping, Offshore and Onsite Logistics, Fixed/Mobile Plan Maintenance, etc.
This role has full time hours and overtime work is required on a regular basis. The base salary offered is $70,000.00 per annum plus superannuation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Survey civil engineering sites and plan repair work and maintenance.
operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) and 3-D imaging software to produce technical designs, working drawings, charts, forms, and records.
analyse building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on engineering designs.
Manage fieldwork operations and oversee progress.
determine a method of presenting engineering designs and drawings to graphically represent building plans.
Supervise production and ensure that projects are meeting correct dimensions, regulations, and provisions of the contract.
draw rough and detailed scale plans based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
Evaluate construction sites and materials and gather information for weight and measurement requirements.
Prepare estimated budgets for civil engineering project costs and present to the Director including justification of subcontract and supplier selection / nomination.
Skills & Experience
At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience
Strong skills and experience with AutoCAD software package.
Training certificate in relevant trade.
High attention to detail and critical thinking
Strong co-ordination skills
Hands on experience in Civil drafting and estimating
Highly driven with the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst maintain strict discipline around meeting tight time frames
