The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Credit team as a Credit Controller based in either Wingfield SA or Mt Waverley VIC.

This role will offer variety and scope for a self-motivated, quick thinker and an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a busy workplace. In this role where you will manage debtors accounts, you will minimise overdue and high-risk debts whilst delivering a high-quality customer experience. 

Please note that as your client base will be in Western Australia, the hours for this role will be 10am to 6:30pm if located in SA or 10:30am to 7pm if located in VIC (this will be adjusted for daylight savings in Summer where the finishing time will be 1 hour later).

What Will You Do? 

In this exciting opportunity you will:  

• proactively manage customer accounts within agreed terms and approved limits
• engage with sales team to proactively manage customer outcomes 
• actively manage and provide timely escalation of customer claim deductions 
• provide detailed analysis, support and proactive engagement to correct and resolve Trade Debtor delinquent performers 
• develop reporting to show Year on Year and Month on Month results against forecast for your customer portfolio 
• introduce measures to return customers to correct trade terms  
• establish close working relationships with all members of the credit team and other key internal staff and external customers

As an experienced Credit Controller with excellent relationship-building skills, you will bring: 

• high attention to detail and time management skills 
• experience working in a high volume role

• proficiency in Excel and experience in SAP or similar

Quality control is also a key aspect, requiring periodic checks on incoming and outgoing stock to ensure compliance with standards and reporting any discrepancies. We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Financial Controller with CA qualification trained from within a recognised accounting firm.

The Financial Controller will play a key role in the design and implementation of systems and process transformation. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager of Finance and work closely with the parent company finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain internal controls with Sarbanes Oxley compliance aligned with parent company requirements
• Provide financial analysis and support to the executive leadership team, including the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets
• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring that staff are trained and developed in their roles
• Working with the commercial finance team to drive the financial growth of the company
• Working with senior finance team to develop the Finance teams annual strategies and objectives
• Manage the working capital reporting and insights to the business and parent company reporting
• Manage the financial accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, tax , and financial reporting for 4 ANZ companies
• Manage the consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Omnicom (US parent company) accounting policies
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
• Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

Requirements:

• CA or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance role, big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm trained
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including Excel and accounting software
• Experience of system implementation highly regarded.

A competitive total salary package (including superannuation) between $150,000-$170,000 is on offer.
