We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Financial Controller with CA qualification trained from within a recognised accounting firm.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in the design and implementation of systems and process transformation. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager of Finance and work closely with the parent company finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain internal controls with Sarbanes Oxley compliance aligned with parent company requirements
- Provide financial analysis and support to the executive leadership team, including the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring that staff are trained and developed in their roles
- Working with the commercial finance team to drive the financial growth of the company
- Working with senior finance team to develop the Finance teams annual strategies and objectives
- Manage the working capital reporting and insights to the business and parent company reporting
- Manage the financial accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, tax , and financial reporting for 4 ANZ companies
- Manage the consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Omnicom (US parent company) accounting policies
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
Requirements:
- CA or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance role, big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm trained
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including Excel and accounting software
- Experience of system implementation highly regarded.
A competitive total salary package (including superannuation) between $150,000-$170,000 is on offer.
