Your new role Working closely with an experienced Financial Controller, you will learn and grow within this role to take on more complex work as time goes on. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key responsibilities include:
Hands-On Accounting: Handle various accounting tasks, such as month-end processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements), ensuring accuracy and adherence to corporate deadlines.
Tax Management: BAS/GST/IAS preparation and lodgement, FBT preparation, assist with income tax return
Standardisation Champion: Work closely with stakeholders to standardise financial processes and improve efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for best practices, simplification, and overall process enhancement.
What you'll need to succeed Qualifications: Hold a relevant degree in accounting or finance and ideally CA or CPA qualified, with at least 3 years of accounting experience. Tech-Savvy: Exposure to major financial systems and tools (including Advanced Excel and exposure to BI tools) Deadline-Driven: Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Customer-Focused: Prioritise exceptional service and relationship management. Accounting Expertise: Apply accounting principles and standards with precision.
