As a Consulting member of the SAM team, you will be supported and valued, working collaboratively across a range of SAM consulting projects and services. What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a proactive, highly skilled, and enthusiastic team member who’s interested in being part of a larger group delivering high-quality SAM solutions to our customers.

You’ll bring expertise developed over 5+ years in a Software Asset Management role as you will be undertaking a range of interesting activities relating to software licensing, audit, and compliance management on behalf of our customers. You will also be supporting the delivery of the Software Asset Management (SAM) managed services and projects for multiple customers from Commercial and Government industries.

You will have advanced critical thinking skills, an ability to interpret and apply logical decision making to a variety of data, and you must be able to deliver your analysis, findings, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Your ability to work with other members of the SAM and customer management team to develop and deliver quality solutions for our customer is critical to the success of our SAM Consulting and Managed services.

This role can be based out of any Datacom office in Australia. Australian Citizenship is essential for Federal Government security clearance requirements. Preferably, you'll be a holder of either a current or lapsed Baseline clearance or higher.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will work collaboratively with other Software Asset Management (SAM) team members, Software Licensing Consultants, and Customer account teams. Essentially, the Software Asset Management Consultant will:

• Act as Consulting SAM Subject Matter Expert for our customers.
• Deliver SAM Consulting services relevant to today’s changing technology landscape and market demands.
• Deliver Compliance Reviews (Effective Licensing Position) for Customers.
• Review current software licensing Terms and Conditions, License Agreements, and License Contracts to identify any breaches or risks for our customers.
• Apply knowledge of licensing rules and use rights within SAM Consulting Services.
• Analyse, document, and present licensing modelling recommendations.
• Identify license reclamation opportunities to achieve cost avoidance outcomes.
• Propose remediation and optimisation activities that may result in reduced compliance risk and/or financial savings and cost avoidance outcomes.
• Contribute to the achievement of project outcomes while managing compliance and commercial risks for customers.
• Provide quality customer service through adherence to Datacom’s Asset Management service delivery methodology and processes.
• Utilise SAM technologies and their capabilities including Flexera’s FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS) and/or Snow License Manager.
• Interpret data outputs from the SAM technologies and other tools to provide accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaise with service management, and customer teams to define, optimise, and develop SAM standards, processes, procedures, plans and controls to ensure appropriate service asset information is recorded and maintained.

• Managing larger multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex projects and programs

Reporting to the Global Head of Project Delivery, your role will ensure the successful planning, coordination, and execution of projects within specified timelines. • Collaborating with project managers and team leads to develop comprehensive project schedules that align with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Utilizing project management software to create, update, and maintain project schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Facilitating interactive planning sessions with cross functional teams
• Working closely with resource managers to allocate and optimize resources effectively to meet project requirements.
• Identify potential resource constraints and propose solutions to ensure smooth project progression
• Proactively identifying and assessing project risks that may impact timelines or deliverables.
• Developing contingency plans and work closely with project teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Developing and delivering risk assessments using proven methodologies such as Monte Carlo and communicate to engineering
• Facilitating regular communication among project teams to provide updates on project timelines, milestones, and potential issues.
• Preparing and distributing project schedule reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and upcoming milestones.
• Evaluating and refining scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Staying abreast of industry best practices and incorporate relevant advancements into project scheduling methodologies.

• Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Scheduler or in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry
• PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
