Job Overview:
As a Senior Business Analyst (Software), you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, designing software solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. You will act as a key liaison between business teams, IT, and software development teams, ensuring alignment of project goals and delivering solutions that meet business objectives. You will be responsible for leading and managing cross-functional project teams to deliver strategic software solutions. This role involves overseeing the entire requirements lifecycle, ensuring clear communication between stakeholders and technical teams, and providing guidance on business process improvements.
Experience:
7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on software development, system analysis, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Lead or Supervisory role
Education, Qualifications, and Certifications:
B.E. / B.Tech., MCA, M.Sc. / B.Sc (Computer Science) or equivalent
Certifications like CSPO, SAFe 6 and CSM will be an advantage
Technical Skill required: Confluence and JIRA, HP Quality Center | ALM Octane | JIRA, Robot Framework, Selenium, Appium, Postman, Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, Figma (or other prototyping tools), Oracle, MySQL, Klaxoon, OS(Raspbian OS, Unix, Windows, Red Hat Linux, Mac OS X, Android, iOS)
Desired skills and Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering professional growth to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Requirement Management: Oversee the elicitation, documentation, and analysis of complex business, functional, and technical requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with business and technical stakeholders.
• Process Modelling & Improvement: Create process models, flowcharts, and diagrams to represent business workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, software development teams, and other project contributors, facilitating effective communication and ensuring mutual understanding of project objectives and requirements.
• Solution Designing: Collaborate with technical teams and product owners to ensure that software solutions meet business needs and are aligned with the overall architecture and technology strategy. Should have strong expertise on solution designing for Content Management Systems
• Project Management: Manage projects through all phases, from inception to delivery, ensuring effective resource planning, budget management, and roadmap formulation. Make business-focused Go/No-Go production decisions and offer support to teams across different locations.
• SDLC Oversight: Ensure that business analysis processes align with the full software development lifecycle, supporting projects from conception through deployment, including requirement gathering, design, testing, and implementation.
• Process Improvement: Drive regular audit and continuous improvement in business processes, workflows, and methodologies, identifying inefficiencies and recommending optimized practices.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Guide and create detailed test plans, ensuring that business requirements are met and that the software functions as expected. Actively participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, system designs, and solutions, ensuring adherence to industry and organizational standards.
• Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify risks, manage changes in scope, and ensure stakeholders are informed of potential impacts on timelines and resources. Implement strategies to mitigate risks and handle change requests effectively.
• Training & User Support: Lead the development of training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide support to end-users, ensuring smooth transitions to new software systems.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with project managers, product owners, technical architects, and software engineers to ensure business goals are fully understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Performance Metrics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver regular reports to senior management on project progress, business value realization, and areas for future improvements.
• Agility: Strong practical understanding of Agile Principles, Scrum Methodologies, and Ceremonies
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
