Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies and campaigns to attract top talent
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and reference checks
• Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide support throughout the hiring process

About the opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Farm Hand at Yarra Station in the Fitzroy River region, near Gogango and within 100km of Rockhampton.  Yarra is a livestock and irrigated cropping property which will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to use and develop their skills in livestock but primarily working in broadacre cropping.

This is an ongoing, permanent opportunity and is not suitable for backpackers or candidates seeking short term work.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Station Manager you will be responsible for:

•  Establishing crops including bed preparation, fertilising, sowing and cultivation
• Operating broadacre farming plant and equipment including an air-seeder, spray unit, fertiliser spreader and other farming equipment
• Crop management including herbicide and pesticide application
• Maintaining plant and equipment
• General farm duties including fencing and repairs and maintenance
• Meeting work health and safety requirements
• Cattle management, including conducting animal husbandry tasks, ensuring it is done precisely and safely

• You will have experience operating modern tractors using GPS automation
• You will have experience preparing and applying agricultural chemicals
• You will be physically fit, with a good level of general fitness to meet the physically demanding requirements of the role
• You will hold a current driver’s licence
• You will carry out your work as directed in a precise, safe and sensible manner
• You will be comfortable living on a remote property with work hours that may vary to meet operational demands and weather conditions

The role will initially be for a fixed term until the end of September, with the possibility for an extension if the wet season has not commenced and work can continue.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Station Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Cattle management, including coacher mustering, yard work and conducting animal husbandry tasks, ensuring it is done precisely and safely
• General farm duties including fencing, feeding, lick runs, checking water, operating machinery, and general farm maintenance
• Property development programs related to farm infrastructure, including yards, water points and fencing projects
• Assist management to achieve production objectives

• You will hold a C class drivers’ licence (essential)
• You must be proficient in riding a 250cc motorbike to navigate diverse terrain (essential)
• You will be physically fit and resilient to handle the demands of station life.
• You will be keen to learn any livestock handling skills or have experienced working on a farm
• You will have basic mechanical skills for repairs of vehicle or equipment
• You will have good communication skills
• You will be able to work independently and as part of a team

This role coordinates and oversees the delivery of irrigation requirements across the macadamia developments in the Fitzroy River region. You will provide irrigation expertise supporting the irrigation system design and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Area Manager - Fitzroy Macadamia Operations, you will be responsible for:

• Providing irrigation expertise with the irrigation systems design and installation.
• Monitor water account balances and requirements from various users.
• Program, manage and control automation systems.
• Provide guidance to orchard managers on irrigation requirements.
• Be a role model by demonstrating precise and safe work behaviours and reinforcing policies and procedures.
