Prompt Mowers now has five stores located across the Greater Sydney region including Plumpton, Rouse Hill, Hornsby, Carlingford and Blacktown.
Prompt Mowers specialises in the sale and service of a complete range of lawn mowers, ride-on mowers and a range of other gardening equipment from premium brands like Stihl, Honda and Victa. Other outdoor equipment includes grass trimmers, brush cutters, chainsaws, blowers, shredders, hedge trimmers and high-pressure cleaners. Prompt Mowers also sell and service equipment for civil construction, including motors, generators and brick saws.
Prompt Mowers is a qualified servicing dealer for Stihl, Honda, Victa, Briggs & Stratton, Ferris, Masport, Sanli and Atom and provide repairs and services for almost any brand of mowers. Team of service technicians have been specially trained so that Prompt Mowers can provide its customers with the most accurate advice. Prompt Mowers provides a pre-test, run and tune of products before it leaves the store, and continue to provide ongoing servicing requirements.

Role of a Business Service Manager:
As a Business Service Manager at Prompt Mower Service Pty Ltd, you will be responsible to oversee and manage the operational activities of five branches/stores of Prompt Mowers within an organization. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties / Tasks of a Business Service Manager:
• The Business Service Manager at Prompt Mower Service Pty Ltd is responsible for providing support to the branches/ stores in its day-to-day business operations and lead the implementation of standardized operating processes.
• Responsibility includes a strategic approach to business planning, directing daily activities, resource planning, operational efficiency, and ensuring that branches/stores meet performance goals. This includes creating forecasting, demand planning, and overall operational efficiencies to improve service levels to customers across all stores.
• Ensuring that the branches/stores run smoothly and efficiently, and that they adhere to organizational policies and regulations.
• Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution.
• Ensure professional and product development opportunities for all employees through, coaching, mentoring and training and provide a safe and healthy work environment.
• Prepare annual operational budget for approval and prepare and present reports on each branch/store performance, trends, and operational insights to senior management.
• Manage data collection of all stores operation for the evaluating the performance to achieve productivity targets, reduce operational cost, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
• Report on materials and inventory controls and conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management for each store.
• Maintain constant communication with store managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of Prompt Mowers.
• Control and allocate resources as appropriate and ensure effective cross-training within the team.
• Continuous improvement of operational process and procedures to ensure best-in-class sales support and ease of doing business
• Supervised and improved customer-oriented service standards and implement effective workplace policies regulating time, performance, and stress management of the work team to ensure a secure and conflict-free workplace environment.
• Handle escalated customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Processing of transfer of stock between branches on a timely basis, to ensure accurate financial records when assessing financial performance of each branch.
Required skills and qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field
• Minimum two years of proven success in an operations management role
• Strong skills in budget development and oversight
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
• Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
Annual Salary: $80000 + Superannuation
