Selection Criteria:
Essential
Tertiary qualifications in Disability Services, Community Services or related field or relevant work experience.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of services for people with disability.
knowledge of the National Standards for Disability Services, NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards and their application in the delivery of high quality person and family centred supports for people with disabilities.

· Carry out supervisor room checks at random and ensures that all accommodation services are of a very high standard. Actions any complaints with urgency and thoroughness.
· Develop a close working relationship with the hotel maintenance department and become involved with follow up on any issues pertaining to accommodation service.
· Create a congenial work environment for all team members and ensures morale is kept high.
· Report any potential health and safety hazards to the OH&S officer and General Manager immediately.

Advising senior management as a priority any issues of critical importance. Compliance with all company policies, directives as issued or amended from time to time in the interests of all stakeholders. Acting as a positive, professional role model always and under all circumstances.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of products, services, events and issues in the Hotel and participate as a representative of management as required.
• Monitor all outlets on a regular basis, liaising with person in charge to ensure staffing levels are appropriate for service requirements.
• Check time sheets to ensure all are completed, signed and authorised each shift by appropriate personnel before staff finish their shift and leave.
• Monitor meal breaks and staff punctuality so that time theft does not occur and peak customer service periods are not affected.
• Monitor staff presentation/grooming and ensure staff compliance with the employee handbook.

About the Role

We are seeking a Marine Operations Manager to join our business in Broome, WA. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key leadership role responsible for the overall marine operations and delivery, including vessel maintenance of Horizontal Falls marine assets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting, delivering, and implementing operating plans for the marine operations and maximising the opportunities to achieve the budget and priority targets including continuous improvement, cost management, guest experience and operational excellence
• Providing strategic advice and recommendations for marine operations to the General Manager
• Driving a high-performance culture through delegating, mentoring, and overseeing the work performance of direct reports
• Ownership of marine operating procedures and best practice, driving the safety culture and always ensuring safety, risk and compliance is first class
• Planning and managing service, maintenance and repair programs that continually improve the efficiency, reliability, and presentation of the marine assets including vessels and pontoons to enhance the guest experience
• Actively managing all maintenance related contractors/third party providers – negotiations of pricing, service level agreements, volumes, and contracts
• Ensuring compliance with AMSA, DBCA and other regulatory bodies is maintained

About You

You will be an accomplished operational leader with sound commercial and financial acumen. You will have a proactive and solutions focused approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude to achieve the best outcome for business operations.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role with exposure to or an understanding of the travel and tourism industry. Trade qualifications as a Vessel Master and/or Marine Engineer or sound knowledge will be beneficial.

This role works closely with our Operations Managers focused on our land and air based operations, along with our dedicated Marine WHS and Group Engineering team to ensure the success and efficiency of the business.
