Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established organizations in Australia, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team based in Ingleburn 2565 . This is a permanent full time position. However, this role is even open to someone who is looking for part time arrangements i.e 3 or 4 days per week.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Manager, you will be responsible for the timely management of customer accounts alongside ensuring accounts are settled within collection timelines.
Your duties include:
Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
Investigate unallocated payments
Make outbound calls to debtors to resolve account management and payment issues
Respond to customer inquiries, both internal and external
Prepare and send out invoices and statements to clients and follow up on outstanding balances
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable
Deliver excellent customer service promptly
Investigate and solve complex problems
Arrange and process overdue payments
Tailor support for customers based on their unique situations
Collaborate and report weekly with management and the sales team to address customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues
Onboard new debtor accounts including, managing the debtor account application process, checks and approvals
Conduct credit checks and set credit limits for new and existing customers
Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounts receivable functions
General accounts and office duties as directed by management
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
Diploma / Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent work experience
2 years or more in a similar role - previous experience in credit and collections
Experience in MYOB system is a MUST HAVE
Intermediate Excel knowledge
Great verbal and written skills
Past experience in construction industry would be desirable but not required
Ideally able to start within 2 weeks or open to someone with longer notice period
Must have full work rights in Australia
