The Position:

Psychologists have a diverse and role, offering opportunity to assist job seekers who have complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, undertaking a variety of therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and, providing recommendations to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services.

Key duties of the role will include:

• Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disability and barriers to employment;
• Offer counselling intervention as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
• Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
• Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases;
• Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates; and
• Provide training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.

This key leadership position within the Family Youth and Children’ s Department is responsible for leading a strategic approach to the delivery, and response to the Hume community through the provision of Maternal Child Health (MCH) Services.

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinate and resource the MCH Service, ensuring optimum standards in all aspects of service delivery, consistent with Council and Government policies and procedures, along with relevant frameworks and service reforms.
•  Develop, monitor and evaluate goals, objectives, standards and Key Performance Indicators to ensure planned outcomes are met.
• Ensure the development and implementation of a range of processes and innovative practice to adequately cater for the needs of people who access MCH Services.
• Ensure maintence of patnership with key stakeholders and peak bodies to support innovative and responsive service delivery to meet Hume City’s growing and diverse needs.
• Provide strategic advice and direction to ensure the leadership of contemporary and innovative Maternal and Child Health Services.
• Monitor service allocation to ensure that priorities set for the service are appropriate.
• In conjunction with the MCH Team Leaders, develop and review programs and nurse workloads to ensure effective planning and allocation of resources are undertaken- in both universal and enhanced programs.
• Identify changing community and market needs and assist with service reviews ensuring services reflect current and future demands.
• Provide effective leadership to staff and ensure they understand and achieve unit goals and priorities.
• Implement Council’s financial management processes, including profiling and midyear reviews to ensure that programs operate within budget.
• Prepare, monitor and review budgets and reports on any variances for consideration by Manager Health and Community Wellbeing.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

•  Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Midwife, along with additional accredited post-graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing.
•  Demonstrated experience in planning, developing and managing all facets of a MCH, or similar service
• In depth knowledge of services for families, and the general community, including an understanding of the relevant Acts, Legislation, Regulations, and funding guidelines in the Specialist MCH programs.
•  Strong management skills with demonstrated experience in leading and developing large teams, along with proven experience in effective change management
•  Demonstrated experience in developing innovative programs and achieving operational improvements
• Strong understanding of the principles of integrated service delivery, community development and family centred practice
•  Proven ability in establishing and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to optimise MCH service delivery
•  Experience in policy development, strategic service planning and MCH service delivery, along with extensive knowledge of relevant statutory and accountability requirements.
• Experience in planning, developing and managing all facets of a MCH or similar service.
•  Well-developed interpersonal skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation and presentation of reports.
•  Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing budgets
•  Current Working with Children Check and drivers license

Due to a lateral change in the team, we are looking for a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Specialist to drive zero incident performance through the right implementation of compliance requirements and the Global Safety Health Environment – SHE Improvement program. The scope of this role is to support the SHE needs of the Australian manufacturing facility based in Kingsgrove while providing guidance and support to the local marketing and sales organisation with regards to Supply Chain and Technical Services.

In this role, you will:

• Defines local safety policy and procedures based on legal regulations and corporate standards
• Leads the implementation and maintenance of ISO45001 and ISO14001 Certification.
• Ensures compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements for the Supply Chain, the Manufacturing Unit and Technical Services
• Coordinates, implements, and drives all Safety, Health and Environmental – SHE Management systems, programs and processes such as Behaviour Observation Safety – BOS based on an annual improvement Plan
• Drives a culture of engagement and develops capabilities through training and coaching which delivers a safety-perfect culture
• Plans/Budgets/Controls annual capital budget for Safety Health Environment – SHE activities to ensure flawless execution of the Safety and Environmental plan.
