They have facilities in Brisbane, Sydney, Parkes, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Business Partner to join their team.

About the role:
The HSE Partner is responsible for driving the proactive implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture, strategy, plan, and performance across a region. Striving to advance our business strategy through enabling a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus and operational excellence the role is responsible for providing practical HSE advice and support to our people and delivering initiatives that continually improve our HSE culture and performance in line with our 'First to see, first to act' strategic priority.
By working closely with our operations team with the direction of the corporate health and safety team, you will a key driver in the roll out of our new safety management system locally and drive safety awareness by coaching and mentoring the leadership team to facilitate the belief in and adoption of the new systems that are ready to be launched
Your responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Lead and support HSE cultural change initiatives, fostering a genuine care workplace
Develop and review Site HSE Plans, aligning with company objectives and assisting in target achievement
Implement communication strategies for HSE information dissemination and reporting
Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs to enhance understanding of safety systems and procedures
Conduct site inspections and incident investigations, driving improvements and determining root causes
Provide expert HSE and risk management advice, including development and review of risk assessments
What you will bring:
Essential
Certificate IV - Work, Health and Safety as a minimum.
Previous WHS experience (preferably within the transport industry).
Desirable
Strong understanding and working knowledge of OHS Legislation.
Understanding of National heavy vehicle regulations and Chain of responsibility
Have a professional and positive approach to their work

Possess strong verbal and written skills as well as an excellent eye for detail
Ability to work with managers, supervisors, and workers
Ability to influence positive outcomes and change
Good organisational and time management skills

Ability to be flexible with working times and patterns to ensure there is consistency of practice across an organisation that runs beyond 9 - 5
Advanced computer skills (MS Office especially)
ICAM qualification (Desirable)
