Work Health & Safety - Senior Advisor Your new company Your new company is a leading recycling company with offices across NSW, VIC and QLD looking for a Senior Advisor to assist them in Health, Safety and Environment on an initail contract of 12 months duration. Your new role In your new role, you will be responsible for:
Developing OHS policies and leading the implementation programs.
Providing professional advice and instructions on various safety-related topics.
Lead OHS internal auditing and assessments and enforce preventative measures
Coordinate with external auditing and assessments
Maintain a sound knowledge of updated legislation, standards and Industry requirements, codes of practice and guidelines relevant to areas of responsibility and ensure that work activities comply with relevant legislation standards.
Manage and organise OHS internal training for employees and co-ordinate with all subsidiaries of the company to ensure the compliance with the regional regulations.
Lead continual improvement projects.
Liaising with relevant authorities.
Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
Continually monitor and improve the OHS management level, include identify potential risks, analyse the best solutions and follow-up the problem-solving process.
Record and regularly report the HSE management projects' progress.
What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed, you will ideally:
A minimum of 2 years experience in Work Health & Safety
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Have strong critical thinking abilities, including the ability to identify and solve problems independently with great attention to detail.
