Our Client HUSSEY & CO PTY LTD ABN - 359 1306 0246 – Located in Somerville, VIC is seeking a Irrigation Designer/Manager Full-time position for between $100,000 - $110,000 a year.
Our growing FMCG business located on the Mornington Peninsula, is looking for an energetic, passionate & highly experienced Irrigation Designer/ Manager
Duties will include:
· Determine soil types and growth characteristics of crops
· Interpret aerial photographs and prepare maps showing soil and vegetation patterns
· Determine water quality and availability
· Select appropriate irrigation technologies paying regard to site and crop requirements and effective water management
· In conjunction with Agribusiness professionals, develop an irrigation and drainage management plan
· Design irrigation systems and monitoring programs
· Manage complex irrigation projects
· Establish an irrigation related environmental protection program
· Establish and undertake monitoring of the irrigation program and recommend system improvements
· Provide specialist advice to clients including plans and reports
· Prepare estimates, quotes and tenders
It is essential you possess the following:
· Hands on and show of commitment
· Successful completion of an appropriate Trade Qualification
· Proven post-trade experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required
· Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team
· Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
· Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
