Our distinguished client, Approach Care Pty Ltd, is looking for a Disabilities Services Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. Located at 470 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria 3004, the company specialises in providing support to individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications:
• Should possess a Diploma in a relevant or closely related field.
• Must have two (2) years of experience as a Disabilities Service Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Evaluate clients' needs to create customised educational, training, and support programs.
• Conduct interviews with clients to assess challenges and determine their scope.
• Monitor client progress and provide regular updates.
• Direct clients to appropriate agencies for additional assistance when necessary.
• Analyse community needs and locate resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other essential services.
• Collaborate with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies, and private businesses to address local issues and promote awareness of available resources.
• Provide support to families and offer education and care for children and disabled individuals in various settings.
• Oversee offenders on probation and parole.
• Aid young people in overcoming social, emotional, and financial difficulties.
• Compile funding and resource proposals, and submit detailed reports to government bodies and other relevant agencies.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients and community members.
• Advocate for policy changes to improve community services and resources.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance service delivery and effectiveness.
Salary:
$76,000 per annum.
