About the role:
The Associate Service Technician 24/7 position is a vital role that significantly contributes to the continuity and efficiency of our DC Operations teams. The Associate Service Technician role is designed to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and to ensure the continued customer satisfaction and data centre uptime we are known for. This role encompasses supporting customers, maintenance and monitoring activities, and is a key role in CDC’s career pathways initiative with investment in learning and development opportunities, as we empower our teams for future growth.
Other responsibilities include:
- Support and engage with Customers, Service Technicians and contractors undertaking support activities and overseeing maintenance works
- Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and no disruption to client’s or business operations,
- Utilise electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee and monitor site conditions
- Respond to customer requests and critical events swiftly,
- Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC’s processes and procedures.
- Provide timely reporting of events, and support restoration to normal operations.

About you:

- Previous working exposure within IT, telecommunications, trade, industrial facilities, or other technical environments
- Exposure to working with diverse teams, including internal stakeholders, SMEs and external service providers.
- Ability to identify risks and provide effective and innovative solutions.
Essential:
Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
