About the Role (your why)

The Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer plays a key role as a Level 3 Support team member of our Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, building and supporting solutions end to end for our customers. You will troubleshoot technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. You will be accountable for delivering a first-class experience for consumers of our Intelligent Workplace services.
Focusing on Microsoft 365 enablement and productivity outcomes for our customers including workloads spanning data, files, communications and collaboration, security and the identity and access management that ties these together.
This role be based in our Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney office. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! Due to customer requirements, this role will require Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain an AGSVA clearance.
What you’ll do
At the moment, as a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer you will be focused on:
- Provide technical leadership for customers Microsoft 365 environments
- Using tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with SLAs
- Operational support of customer systems including proactive monitoring of systems, assisting with incident resolution, performing standard and non-standard changes
- Identification of inefficient procedures or processes and suggesting improvements for implementation
- Produce accurate, concise, and timely reports as required
- Take responsibility for technical aspects of solutions such as supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, projects, proof-of-concept management, and training of Datacom support staff.
- Creation of design documents (HLD, DDD and LLD)
- Assume the role of technical leader or design engineer in projects as required.
- Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (EG: Change/release)
- Provide governance and support to customers Microsoft 365 environments

What you’ll bring
Required experience:
- Previous experience in an ICT Professional Services organisation
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer
- Working knowledge of competitor solutions in the below IT platforms

- Users
- Traditional Groups (Security, Distribution)

- Guest Users (External Users)
• Working knowledge of AzureAD (Entra) identity and authentication technologies including:
- Azure AD Connect
- Password Hash Sync
- Pass-thru Authentication
- Seamless SSO
- ADFS
- Azure MFA
- SSPR
