Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer at Caleb & Brown, a Digital Asset brokerage, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between software development, and IT operations. You will be instrumental in deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing our cloud-based production system, ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various company projects.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management processes using tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, or similar.
- System Administration & Cloud Management:
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with development teams to integrate new software and system improvements.
- Provide technical support and expertise on DevOps best practices.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure infrastructure security compliance with industry standards.
- Implement security measures for safeguarding systems and data.
- Automation & Optimization:
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
- Optimise system configurations for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in the financial or cryptocurrency industry.
- Strong experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
