Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer at Caleb & Brown, a Digital Asset brokerage, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between software development, and IT operations. You will be instrumental in deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing our cloud-based production system, ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
    • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various company projects.
    • Automate deployment, scaling, and management processes using tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, or similar.
  • System Administration & Cloud Management:
    • Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes) to ensure optimal performance and security.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with development teams to integrate new software and system improvements.
    • Provide technical support and expertise on DevOps best practices.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure infrastructure security compliance with industry standards.
    • Implement security measures for safeguarding systems and data.
  • Automation & Optimization:
    • Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
    • Optimise system configurations for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in the financial or cryptocurrency industry.
  • Strong experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
