SGS is seeking a Workers Compensation and Injury Management Advisor to join the team in Perth.

Duties include, however not limited to:

• Effective Lead Management for the life cycle of all claims, including national workers compensation and non-work related injuries/illnesses.
• Guide, coach and support Leaders on injury management and worker’s compensation processes, including proactive injury prevention strategies and the implementation of supportive, efficient and effective return to work practices.
• Lead the coordination of fitness for work requirements including the coordination of Random Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Liaise with medical providers and support Operations to arrange medical bookings as required.
• Assist with the classification, collation, analysis and preparation of reporting for incident and injury statistics including identification of trends and emerging issues.
• Ensure policies, procedures, guidelines and other relevant documentation are current and representative of each state’s legislative requirements.
• Assist with the development, implementation and continual improvement of health and wellness initiatives, development of resources and writing of articles for internal use.
• Maintain the health and wellness and Pre-Employment and Health Surveillance Medical SharePoint Pages.
• Establish and maintain professional networks and key partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including Corporate Health Insurance Provider.

As the Risk and Compliance Advisor within the Perth Energy team, you will oversee risk and compliance requirements and be a subject matter expert on WA regulatory requirements applicable to Perth Energy.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing relevant, strategic and actionable regulatory advice to the Perth Energy business units operating in a highly complex regulatory and compliance environment.

• Providing advice and recommendations that are solution orientated and look to maximise business outcomes and supports strategic objectives as well as promoting an effective compliance culture within the business through strong stakeholder networks and proactive support.

• Managing investigations and requests for information by regulatory bodies, as well as researching and critically evaluating options when presented with complex regulatory problems.

• Driving the identification, investigation and resolution of compliance incidents and issues

• Enhancing and delivering an ongoing education program as a preventative control for compliance which includes delivering relevant, useable and tailored education sessions to obligation and control owners, to uplift understanding of key obligations and controls.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience within a regulatory or compliance role as well as knowledge of WA energy legislation.

• Ability to work with ambiguity in a complex environment.

• A commercial and strategic attitude towards ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Awareness of best practice developments in regulatory compliance and the ability to drive implementation where appropriate including demonstrated knowledge to help shape and implement future initiatives.

• Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills as well as demonstrated experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of business.

SGS is seeking a full-time generalist HR Advisor for this 12-month parental leave cover commencing in April with the possibility to extend. This role will be located near Perth Airport and will be a hybrid role working in the office as well as the opportunity to work from home.

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will enjoy a true generalist position that includes administering and coordinating a range of HR activities including but certainly not limited to the below:

• Partner with assigned business/s to provide HR support for all stages of the employee lifecycle.
