Who you are?  

You are a hands-on marketer currently working client-side or at an agency. You have experience in several marketing disciplines such as brand, events and PR. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build Lyka’s consumer/industry trade show and events strategy. You will also assist in the implementation of the brand strategy. The role works closely with Lyka’s in-house creative team as well as cross-functional teams such as R&D and Product.  If you have a growth mindset and love the implementation process this role could be a great fit for you.

• Drive the implementation of the brand strategy, including liaising with internal teams and external agencies or stakeholders

●      Undertake regular reviews of existing products in range to determine the root causes of warranties and returns.  Based on these reviews, put in place corrective actions with factories to reduce manufacturing faults and defects.

●      Regularly review products against any current quality and regulatory compliance requirements to ensure they continue to be safe, fit for use and compliant to regulatory requirements in all markets we operate in.  This includes ongoing testing of products and materials where required.

●      Collaborate with various stakeholders within the business to draw insights that are driven by warranties and returns data, customer insights (formal) and customer service feedback to provide recommendations on further improvements that could be made to products (either current or future) and champion the continual improvement of existing products within the range.

●      Working closely with our factory partners, lodge regular credit claims based on the specific requirements of the Supplier and Warranty agreements.  Report back to the finance team on all credit claims successfully lodged.

●      Together with team, Investigate consumer complaints, quality failures and areas of further improvement, and work closely with the Quality team and other internal / external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

●      Escalate any serious injuries or illnesses caused by products to the Director, Quality & Compliance manager to ensure these are appropriately handled by the business.

Ideal background…

●      Minimum 5 years Formal tertiary qualifications in QA/QC or relevant industry experience.

●      Experience with furniture, home furnishings or FMCG environment is preferred, but not limited.

●      People leadership experience is required.

●      Demonstrable experience in method validation is required

●      Demonstrable experience presenting and defending the quality control standards during regulatory inspections

●      High ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders while multitasking on a number of projects within a fast-paced environment

●      Excellent organisational skills, written & verbal communication skills and attention to detail

●      A ever-curious mindset that isn’t afraid to challenge the norms, wanting to learn and grow within the team and business

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing scientific and medical support across the business contributing to product development and lifecycle management.

In this role you will be instrumental in driving state of the art medical insight in the plasma-derived medicinal products therapy areas and working with key opinion leaders (internal and external) and networks of medical and clinical contacts.

What you will be involved in………

• Provide comprehensive scientific and medical support across plasma derived products therapy areas providing insights to facilitate product development and lifecycle management.
• Serve as the primary expert in therapy and product knowledge internally and externally representing the organization to stakeholders.
• Design and implement Medical Plans in alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with KOLs, government representatives, and healthcare organizations to incorporate valuable insights into strategic decision-making.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards in material review and promotional activities.
• Maintain the highest ethical and legal standards in all engagements.
• The role is an office based MSL with an expectation of up to 50% field work.

What we would expect from you:

• Scientific PhD, Pharmacy, Medical qualifications or related degree
• At least 3 - 5 years in medical affairs and related roles within pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in medical compliance such as Medicines Australia, PHRMA or EFPIA codes, and related jurisdictional regulations and guidelines.
• Previous experience in haematology, immunology or plasma fractionation desirable.
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Office suite; conversant with key sites on Internet; conversant with key medical databases and able to implement basic search strategies
• Flexible and adapts well to change.
• Keeps up to date with the new data and changing healthcare environment.
