T/A Rashays Punchbowl offering relaxed table service, serving modern Australian favourites is looking to fill full time position for qualified and skilled General Manager. This role is ideally suited to an individual or couple with strong business acumen seeking an enjoyable and challenging work environment.
Punchbowl Casual Dining Pty Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This unique role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for hospitality, and leadership. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience, managing diverse teams, and utilising high level financial acumen to drive the success of the business.
The General Manager will oversee and manage the business operations, marketing, maintenance and cleanliness, policies and procedures, finance and personnel to ensure that Rashays Punchbowl operates to the highest of standards. This position demands a keen focus on every department, requiring you to be actively engaged in operations and that of stakeholder management.
You will provide visionary leadership to the entire team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and guest satisfaction. You will create business plans and annual budgets ensuring consistent, efficient, and comprehensive cost control, revenue management, and financial reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors’ Degree in related field with at least 3+ years’ experience in hotel/ restaurant management
• Food and Beverage management experience is essential
• Experience in building executive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• An entrepreneurial drive and spirit with a sense of creativity
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Drive business and utilise all areas within the cluster to generate revenue for the restaurant
• Responsible for the planning, forecast and management of the restaurant budget
• Assess changing situations and respond accordingly by issuing commands and directives to subordinate staff
• Identify areas to improve guest touch points and work with relevant departments to create points of differentiation
• Responsible for the overall operational efficiency of the restaurant
• Be instrumental in driving changes and improvements in performance and implementing strategies in line with business objectives
• Control operating expenses through resource planning / optimisation, regular review of business expenses and business costs
• Provide support to all departments in handling complaints, issues that affect guest experience and smooth operations of all departments
• Maximise performance of F&B through operations, sales and cost control
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, particularly those related to restaurant operations, to maintain the integrity and safety of operations
• Monitor changes/advancements to discover ways to gain competitive advantage
• Manage staff, including talent acquisition, train, supervise, counsel and discipline staff as required
• Focus on recruiting and developing a team that is engaged in driving a positive customer sentiment

• Ability to work flexibly according to business requirements
• Ability to manage a medium to large team
• Understanding of budgets and key performance indicators
• Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage operations
• Experience in advising, managing and delivering business growth objectives
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Track record in organisational improvement with a proven capacity to manage change in a consultative and sensitive manner
In addition, you will need to maintain high levels of energy and present with a customer focussed demeanour in sometimes challenging situations. You will need to take pride in your service delivery and the standard of quality provided by the restaurant. You will be able to build and maintain enduring relationships with your staff, guests and customers.
