What you'll be doing

• Working with Product and Architects to take business needs and design/architect technical solutions.
• Working with your team to support other engineers by providing technical advice and creative problem solving
• Identifying bugs, capturing information, and following internal processes (JIRA) to solve problems, and reduce technical debt

About you

Our Service Desk Agents are the first point of contact for our clients. No two days will be the same as you’ll be proactively problem solving any customer issues that come your way or escalating them as appropriate.

Your New Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our us and support a broad team of qualified technical consultants responsible for design and documentation. About the Role:

Our Engineering team is given trust and autonomy to do great work. We work in small teams focused on specific features of our core platform, with 4-5 Engineers including a Technical Lead. We work in a triad with Product Managers and Designers to solve problems for our customers. We are currently refactoring our monolith into microservices, working with PHP8.2, Laravel 9, React.js, GraphQL and Node.js. It’s important that you have PHP/Laravel experience, however, you will also have the opportunity to work with Node.js. What you’ll do:

• Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Take responsibility for multiple services maintained by the team.
• Build and manage automated build/test/deployment environments.
• Improve your code quality, product execution, and learning experience.
• Plan and execute together with Backend, Mobile, DevOps, Data, UI/UX, QA.
• Use DDD, Design patterns, and advanced Git to produce maintainable code.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Fullstack Engineer designing, developing, testing, deploying in PHP and Javascript.
• Passionate about Test Driven Development.
• Experience working in a team.
• Experience in software development or a serious open source track record.
• Knowledge of Linux as a production environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Technician, Team Leader, you will work as a key member of the Maintenace team, ensuring that Aegros remains compliant with cGMP.

What you will be involved in………

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of industrial equipment.

• Working as a team member or alone to complete projects.
• Troubleshooting system failures.
• Testing of electrical systems with heat mapping voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
• Responding to fault requests.
• Support managing calibration schedule.
• Installing new electrical appliances in the building.

• Adhering to safety and performance standards.

• Observing safety procedures and meeting electrical codes.

• Making decisions based on technical documents.

What we would expect from you:

At least two (2) years previous experience in a similar position, ideally within a pharmaceutical company.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Electrician qualification certificate.

• Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician.

• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Physically strong and able to stand for long periods.

• Good communication skills.

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
