Maintenance role based in Koroit 3282 Work in a small productive team Long standing business in the community Permanent, full time role, No rotating shifts! The Role Bega’s Koroit site manufactures a range of dairy products including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream and butter. The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually. Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring iron building protein found in milk, and it is regarded for its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join the team on day shift. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all factory maintenance functions are carried out in an effective, efficient, and timely manner and for delivering product safely, of the highest quality with minimal waste in the correct quantity when it is required. This role is part of a small, close-knit team who are passionate about ensuring the site is the best it can be. Responsibilities Primary responsibility for providing maintenance support to the site General maintenance activities within a food processing environment Identify, plan, and undertake routine maintenance schedules to achieve machine and line efficiency Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as well as maintaining high standards in Safe Work Practices Support continuous improvement systems About you Mechanical trade experience or related discipline with the want to further your skill set Experience working in Dairy or similar industry Level headed and good under pressure A commitment to safety and safe systems of work Effective and clear communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with lots of different people across site The Bega Story Bega Cheese Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
