We are looking for an experienced and influential industry leader as Food & Beverage Manager to join Novotel Surfers Paradise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing operational Food and Beverage teams. Reporting to our General Manager, you will collaborate with the Leadership Team to deliver successes for the Hotel with particular focus on the Food & Beverage departments.

Your ability to effectively collaborate with the team, your entrepreneurial approach, your passion of food and beverage and guest experience, and your ability to generate revenue will all play a significant part in how successful you will be in this position.

About You

• Previous experience in store leadership roles ideally within the retail or hospitality industries

We are seeking a highly motivated Handyperson to join our busy Engineering team.  You will become involved in many areas of the hotel with the overall aim of maintaining the building and all areas within the hotel to the highest standards.  This is a permanent part-time position, minimum guaranteed 15 hours per week.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Assist the maintendance supervisors in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel.
• All aspects of maintenance including some painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling odd jobs and project work.
• Respond to a range of guest requests as a first priority
• Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed
• Ensuring all painted areas are maintained and in good order
• Ensure all maintenance for room moves & guest arrivals are actioned appropriately
• Complete tasks as part of the preventative maintenance program
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
• Effective use of energy and water resources
• Assisting team members in the completion of their duties

As part of the Housekeeping team you will be responsible for offering a quality customer service experience by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors and service areas.  Involving but not limited to changing bed linen, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and restocking amenities. 

What is a Housekeeping All Rounder, you have experience as a Room Attendant, as a Public Area Attendant and may have even worked as a Houseperson.  You can rostered in any area as needed.

You will enjoy working in a team environment.

• Attending to guest enquiries and requests in a timely manner
