Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning of the interior and exterior of aircraft
• Assist engineers with ground handing activities, such as:
  • Towing and repositioning aircraft
  • Wing walk and clearance when aircraft are being move
  • Connect and disconnect of GPUs and air-conditioning units
  • Compressor washing engines
• Liaise with external suppliers in relation to vehicle and facilities repairs and maintenance
• Ground Servicing Equipment inspections and raising Repair orders 
• General upkeep and housekeeping at the base
• Assist engineers on aircraft checks removing panels etc
• Ad hoc general duties to support the smooth running of the Cairns base.

We have an exciting opportunity for a an experienced Financial Controller to join our Team. This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for providing full financial and accounting support for Pullman Cairns International.

Collaborating closely with the leadership team, the Financial Controller is responsible for the overall budgeting, planning, and forecasting of the Hotel including the analysis and reporting of monthly and yearly results.

What you’ll be doing 

• Manage the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes for the Hotel.
• Train, develop and manage the Finance team ensuring compliance, accuracy and financial integrity at all levels.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to gather essential data for long-term, annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting.
• Report to owners on a monthly basis results, forecasts and P&L.
• Monitor financial performance against forecasts and budgets, analyse variances, and evaluate key performance indicators.
• Facilitate weekly and monthly reviews with the Hotel leadership team and provide guidance and direction on cost control and revenue generation.

About the Role

About you

In addition, for having a love for technology and curious mindset you will also bring:

• Minimum of 5 years commercial experience as a Product or Business Analyst;
• Deep industry knowledge of payments, ideally across ecommerce, in-store, or recurring payments.
• Solid understanding of product lifecycle and agile development methodologies;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders;
• Qualification or experience in Information Technology or Business Information Systems;
• Experience in working on complex business processes and system changes, while bringing coherence to diverse stakeholder requirements;
• Proficiency in leading workshops.
