Are you a motivated individual with an interest in agriculture? Our team at Bundaberg are looking for an individual to join their team as a casual Irrigation Farm Hand. Providing irrigation and assisting in general farm hand daily activities. This role would suit someone who is looking for casual, physical work.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Irrigation Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the delivering of water and fertigation requirements to all trees
- Assisting with maintaining irrigation infrastructure including irrigation lines and connectors, pumps, filtration systems, motors, automated and delivery systems
- Monitoring water usage via monitoring systems and visual observations
- Contributing to the development and improvement of irrigation systems
- Land development and preparation
- Farm maintenance
- Maintaining records
- Be responsible for the quality of completed work
- Following safety requirements and contributing to continuous improvement of safety elements
- No previous experience required
- You will hold a current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and as directed without continuous supervision
- You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with Saturday and Sunday work during busy periods)
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude and be motivated to complete work in scheduled timeframes
- Award hourly rates with paid overtime in accordance with the Horticulture Award
