Are you a dedicated and experienced Senior Station Hand or a Leading Hand looking for the next step in your career? We are looking for an Overseer to help support our cattle operations in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Elevate your skills within the livestock industry by joining our team at Oakland Park Station, an 85,000ha property located just outside of Croydon. This role will suit those who already have cattle experience with proven skills managing and developing a small team.
Couples will be considered for the role with positions also open for station hands.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Station Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the station.
- Cattle management including management of herd health, herd nutrition, mustering and animal husbandry tasks.
- General farm duties including repairs and maintenance.
- Overseeing the implementation and embedding of safety processes and systems on farm.
- Contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
- You will have demonstrated, station experience either as a Senior Station Hand or Leading Hand.
- You will have a proven track record operating farm machinery and have sound mechanical knowledge.
- You will have experience managing and developing small teams and contractors.
- You will hold a current manual driver’s licence.
- You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with Saturday and Sunday work during busy periods).
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude.
