About the role

Multiple opportunities exist for experienced and passionate Chefs to join the Journey Beyond Rail Expeditionson-train team, commencing in February 2024. You would be responsible for the high quality preparation and presentation of the fine dining menu on board our trains.

Reporting to the Chef De Partie on train in a permanent role, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of unique menu, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction;
• Maintaining levels of stock and inventory;
• Hygiene, cleanliness and general safety of all staff working in food preparation areas; and
• Compliance with HACCP

About you

To be successful in this role you are passionate and proud of the food and service you deliver and are willing to go above and beyond for our guests.

Successful candidates must have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and minimum 3 years industry experience in fast paced culinary environment
• Current Senior First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• This position is physically demanding and will require you to work on your feet for long periods of time and in confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with our customer success team to onboard new small business clients' historical and outstanding bookkeeping into Xero, supporting the seamless transition of their bookkeeping over to our BAU team
• Leverage your expertise in Xero to efficiently set up and maintain accurate financial records for clients
• Conduct thorough general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address queries and provide support during the onboarding process
• Provide support and training to clients to assist in the transition to Retinue services and Xero software
• Generate reports summarizing the financial status of clients during the onboarding phase, facilitating a seamless handover to the BAU team.
• Delegate and oversee some of your work to junior bookkeepers, providing mentoring and guidance where required to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned workloads

Requirements

• Minimum of two years experience in bookkeeping roles, ideally within a public practice environment or dealing with multiple clients
• Knowledge of other accounting software tools (Quicken, MYOB, Reckon) and demonstrated experience in transitioning clients from one system to another
• Proficiency working with Xero and Xero Payroll
• A strong ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

• Develop or source induction material suitable for the equipment and abilities of client.

• Induct and train clients on low-risk workshop equipment.

• Order and maintain the inventory of the workshop items and supplies.

The primary role of the Team Leader, located in Melbourne Australia, is to manage team members/agents to ensure that key client deliverables are met and exceeded. This will be dependent on the campaign you work on and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined by the client being serviced.

Key focus areas will include team and agent development/engagement, process improvement, compliance and quality assurance.

Your Accountabilities In this position you will be working in our Operations team and directly reporting to the relevant Operations Manager, Australia.

Core Operational | In line with your operational remit
• Undertake daily ongoing training and development of existing team members to up-skill staff
• Drive improvement projects and ensure all staff are actively working towards achieving targets and KPIs as set by Operations Manager – daily/weekly/monthly
• Liaise with Operations Manager to identify strategies and ways to improve efficiency and performance within the channel
• Organise daily motivational meetings and team feedback sessions
• Work cooperatively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Depending on team staffing and rostering levels, when required, accept or make calls and provide effective and efficient service to customers
• Ensure daily administration tasks are adhered to maintain a tidy and efficient working environment
• Assist the P&C Team in following up employee documentation if required
• Ensure customer complaints are actioned and resolved as per customer service guidelines • Must be willing to lead by example and engage with customers, double-jack with staff to provide mentoring and guidance
• Act as the client representative in the event an enquiry, investigation or complaint escalates and cannot be resolved by the Agent
• Role model appropriate behaviour in terms of demonstrating compliance in punctuality, reliability and teamwork

• Demonstration of prior performance and ability in a Team Leader or 2nd in Charge capacity, overseeing a team of agents
• Familiarity with contact center technology and software Your Qualifications • No essential requirement however studies and/or experience in industry verticals or relevant tertiary qualifications in management/supervision would be highly regarded
