ERM is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Planner/ Consultant to be based in our Sydney or Newcastle office, to lead major projects approvals and environmental impact assessment processes, with a focus on renewables and major infrastructure projects. As a Senior Environmental Planner/Consultant, your leadership, client relationship, and technical consulting skills will support the growth of ERM’s business and client base. Role/Responsibilities:

• Lead environmental impact assessment projects and complex approvals processes.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with external enterprise customers in delivering projects in professional services environments.

Must have experience with design, implementation and optimization of:

·          Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange.

·          Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, AHV).

·          Have experience in one or both of the following: Backup (Commvault, Veeam) OR Storage (HPE, NetApp, Lenovo & Dell)

·          Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Python)

You will have a curiosity & passion for customers and a proven ability to communicate solutions in a way that resonates with all levels of our customer’s. You must be comfortable in engaging both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.

What are we looking for from you?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field recognized by Engineers Australia.
• Significant experience in technical design and delivering projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution (up to 33kV), control systems, and instrumentation design.
• Significant experience gained within Australia in designing and implementing utility-scale generation or storage, or similar project experience in HV substation, HV reticulation, and heavy industry.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• Proficiency in project management tools.

About the role
