Due to a strong pipeline of projects Clarke Energy is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their dynamic Control Systems engineering team, for the implementation of projects within the EPC business unit. Reporting to the Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will provide technical advice relating to matters of Control Systems design, preparation of design and exchange of information for technical interfaces on turnkey projects.
Key duties
Prepare controls design work to meet engineering specifications and comply with relevant standards. Includes writing of Functional Descriptions, programming PLCs, SCADA development, and network systems design and configuration.
Procurement of materials and equipment to complete projects, from concept through design, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
Liaise with client on project objectives and communicate with the project team.
Coordinate estimates for controls engineering work.
Liaise with suppliers in the specification, evaluation, selection and progressing supplied controls equipment.
Perform factory testing and site commissioning and testing of installed controls equipment.
About you
Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) or similar
PLC programming (Schneider / Allen-Bradley / Siemens)
Experience with PLC and SCADA systems
Capable of creating Functional descriptions, FAT and SAT documentation
Capable of Control System Design and implementation including Network Design
Visual Basic for Applications (desirable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Initiative and problem solving ability
Computer literate: Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Project
Drivers License
