JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The objective of this new role is primarily to manage the supply and services of Electrical (E) and Mechanical (M) equipment package with the Andritz Hydro project team, JV partners, subcontractors and customers. This includes project, service and O&M business in both sales activities and proposal management as well as order execution.
- Conduct detailed contract review and coordinate progress meetings with all stakeholders
- Secure in full- and on-Time delivery of the components to the customer and achieve all associated milestones in the program
- Support the Service Hydro team in the bidding phase, sourcing, and installation activities
- Maintain close collaboration with the global project team (across multiple time zones)
- Deliver a best practice OHS&E attitude and performance

KEY RESULTS AREA
Project Execution 50%
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate our total supply and service package with the customer(s)
- Maintain close collaboration with all stakeholders regarding project progress and scope of supply
- In coordination with the project team, discuss and resolve contract related concerns with the customer(s)
- Monitor customer service, invoicing, expenditure, payments and administration costs
- Conduct regular review of contract requirements and communicate any variations
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of sales/service activity and customer reports (Weekly, Monthly or Annually as directed by Management)
- Coordinate activities in accordance with all local requirements and regulations, to ensure a smooth supply performance to the customer
- Manage specific Australian Standard (AS) requirements with the project team
- Identify and report any inconsistencies, hazards or risks (including proposed resolutions), to the project team
- Deliver and support excellence in OHS&E according to AS4801 and any other relevant standards
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of customer interactions and activities including the maintenance of accurate customer contact list and visit reports
Sales and Proposal Management 50%
Responsibilities:
- Develop competitive supply and service concepts in consultation with global experts within Andritz
- Develop competitive Operation & Maintenance concepts for maintaining power generation assets and synchronous condenser plants
- Elaborate appropriate technical solutions to satisfy customers’ needs
- Use product and technical knowledge to prepare estimates and tenders in accordance with sales and pricing policy
- Support the development of the local procurement concepts, a reliable local transport and logistics network and a local equipment installation program
- Negotiation with sub-suppliers and customers on behalf of Andritz Hydro
- Remain informed and up to date with regard to Industry related news, competition activities and product knowledge (Market Intelligence)
- Continuously and actively develop personal skills and knowledge relative to performance obligations
- Establish and develop the appropriate sales/service strategy for the sales of engineering services, supply contract for mechanical and electrical equipment in the Hydropower industry throughout Australia
- Identify new opportunities, promote new technologies, and/or replacement or modernisation of machinery and parts
- Respond to requests for sales opportunities through the development of proposals including bid formulation, reviews, approvals and submission, in consultation with key stakeholders
- Post proposal submission, assist with contract negotiations, reports on bid progress and ultimately, transition successful bids into implementation – all in consultation with relevant parties
KEY MEASURES:
Primary:
- Delivery (In Full and On Time) of agreed project outcomes
- Delivery on actions arising from meetings with the energy utility(s)
- Delivery on actions arising from meetings with the internal project team (off-shore)
- Delivery of actions on Service and Spare Parts and O&M Business
- Management and support of a proactive OHS&E delivery in accordance with contractual, regulatory and ethical standards
- Compliance to local company policies and guidelines
Secondary:
- Assist in the development and support of National sales opportunities for Andritz Hydro
- Develop and maintain key relationships with all stakeholders

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & ATTRIBUTES
Education:
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- At least 8 years demonstrable experience in senior technical roles in the in the Hydro sector, combined with successful project management/service management and execution experience.
Technical Competencies and Skillset:
- Project management/service experience with Hydro power projects or similar
- Extensive product, technical & field knowledge of the Hydro portfolio or similar
- Experience in Operation & Maintenance of power generation assets
- Experience in rotating equipment
- Experience with statutory licences, principal contractor role, and working permits
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project
- Knowledge in an ERP system of advantage
- Ability to plan and manage your work effectively towards achieving objectives.
