Services 4 Buildings Pty Limited (S4B Studio) delivers bespoke, sustainable solutions across a broad range of engineering disciplines, working closely with our clients from the outset of each project to its completion. Our collective experience spans decades and countries but our Australian operations are based in Sydney and Canberra.
Due to continued business growth, there is now a need to hire a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at our Sydney, CBD office. This is a full-time position with annual earnings between $70,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation on offer depending on skills and experience.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Work closely with our mechanical engineering team on the design, development, testing and maintenance of various mechanical engineering projects
• Create detailed drawing and schematics
• Draft plans for machinery, mechanical systems or component
• Assist in the development and testing of protypes
• Prepare technical documentation, including assembly instructions, maintenance manuals, and engineering reports
• Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems or components.
• Assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking project progress.
• Help in estimating project costs by analysing materials, labour, and other resources required for mechanical engineering projects
• Provide support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment, both in the office and on-site
• Ensure that mechanical designs and systems comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Prioritise safety in all aspects of work, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring that mechanical designs and systems meet safety standards.
Experience Required:
• Relevant qualification or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanical engineering technician
• Remarkable abilities in analysis and problem-solving
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable with mechanical engineering principles and practices
• Highly organised and detail oriented
