DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:
McMahon Services is an industry leading, industrial, construction and environmental services provider. We need Civil Engineering Draftsperson to perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Working alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions for civil engineering works,
2. Documentation and basic designs for commercial & residential construction projects,
3. Responsible for drafting plans/drawings for our small & medium sized civil projects.
4. Programming and Time Management - keeping and recording time sheets for jobs
5. Prepare sketches & designs for construction of residential and commercial civil projects
6. Prepare charts for drainage, water supply and sewerage to residential & commercial projects
7. Checking structural drawings. Control/Amend/Rectify drawings to meet needs of clients.
8. Work under supervision of Civil Engineers and report directly to Project Manager/s
9. Work with Engineers & Technicians to solve problems.
10. Responding and solving the execution engineers’ problems related to drawings
11. Prepare detailed Civil design plans using AutoCAD software
12. Able to show continuous improvement and understanding of civil engineering design
13. Able to work independently with minimal guidance to adhere to project needs and requirements
14. Evaluating the details of execution drawings and control of restrictions in execution and workshop equipment under the supervision of senior civil engineers.
15. The step by step supervision of construction stage and preparation of as builtdrawings.
16. Conducting survey and submission of survey report
Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:
Education : Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in related field
Australian Experience : At least 3 + years of Australian Experience OR
Overseas Experience : At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience
Specialist : Draftsperson - Civil Engineering
Work Rights : Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be preferred. Other applicants with full work rights can apply only if they meet the above criteria.
