Starting off as a Bank in 1910, the original home of Matsos has undergone many changes before it became a brewery. In the 2000s Matsos started brewing out of a tiny 200L kit in Broome, becoming the most remote brewery in Australia. The remoteness and the heat of Broome forced the hands of the owners to get creative about refreshment. Out of that, Australia's Original alcoholic Ginger Beer was created followed quickly by a delicious mango beer. Matsos is now spreading its creative and refreshment wings to bring its fruit-forward beers and mixed drinks to the Sunshine Coast. Currently undergoing renovations of the historic Joe's Water Hole (Built in 1926), Matsos is shaping up its new home ready to enjoy the Queensland sun and heat in the hinterland town of Eumundi. Live music, great food, refreshing drinks from the brewery and a great family-friendly outdoor area are all on offer for the new and exciting Matsos Sunshine Coast.
