About the Opportunity

Cruise Whitsundays is currently seeking an experienced, innovative and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team based in Airlie Beach. Reporting to the General Manager - Sales and Marketing, this role is primarily responsible for sourcing, converting and maximizing revenue opportunities whilst managing client relationships regionally and within the Groups and MICE sectors. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to;

• Effective management of local sales and agent accounts to ensure sales targets are achieved;
• Hosting site inspections, famils and events for potential and existing clients, including training sessions to ensure updated product offerings and knowledge for clients
• Identifying and securing new clients within the Groups and MICE sector, and to utilize existing business assets in developing innovative product offerings;
• Managing key relationships with clients and third parties such as cruise industry booking agencies;
• Collectively work with Department Heads to plan, develop and execute new events and product offerings to generate new revenue streams;
• Produce high-level market analysis and sales reports to monitor industry trends and campaign activity performance; and
• Assist with sales administrative tasks, sales calls, trade shows and events as required.

About you

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and passionate about sales with a demonstrated growth mindset and proven ability to secure new business opportunities and desired results. Your high-energy and excellent interpersonal skills will be critical to your success, demonstrated through your natural ability to form strong working relationships and networks with stakeholders. You will;

• Be highly self-motivated, with great energy and a natural ability to build relationships;
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or prior industry experience in a Business Development role;
• Have a minimum 5 years' proven experience in B2B/B2C sales role;
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems, and booking platforms such as Customlinc;
• Knowledge of the Australian trade/wholesale travel industry;
• Excellent relationship building skills;
• High attention to detail and excellent standard of delivery;
• Possess excellent problem solving, negotiation and commercial acumen skills; and
• Demonstrate excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Manager / Coordinator to join our Middle East, Asia & Pacific (MEAPAC) Talent & Culture Team.

This role is responsible for providing support to the Vice President – Organisational Effectiveness and Strategy, MEA PAC and the broader T&C team on strategic projects that align to our ambition of becoming a world-class provider of services and support for our Team Members and Hotels.

Initially commencing on a full time 6-month contract, this role will act as the project lead for our administration and process workstreams, supporting the project by setting deadlines, coordinating resources and stakeholders, assigning responsibilities and monitoring the overall program of change whilst producing consistent documentation and templates to support the growth of the MEAPAC region.

Getting to know the role and your responsibilities.

· Coordinate and collate policy, procedure, documentation and templates as it pertains to Talent & Culture across our region to establish best practice.

· Creation of consistent forms, templates and branding to ensure one harmonised way of working.

· Drive the digitisation process of forms in collaboration with IT / OneHR team to support optimised processes across the 3 hubs;

· Document and map the processes as it pertains to Talent & Culture across the 3 hubs with the ability to identify opportunities to streamline or optimise as required;

· In collaboration with the Digital T&C solutions team, support the roll out of a SharePoint site including the creation of documentation, training material or content as required;

· Prepare presentations for T&C leadership team to support projects;

The job

The Sales lifecycle at O’Brien Energy is a consultative process and contributions and support come from all areas of the business starting with the Directors through to Managers and our specialists.

You will work closely with our clients and your colleagues to help them understand how we can assist them in achieving improved efficiency, productivity and environmental outcomes that are great for their business and the wider community.  

You will also work closely with your colleagues in Projects, Engineering, Service & Maintenance, Energy Efficiency Consulting, and Finance to:

• Drive methodical and structured Sales process.
• Manage and contribute to proposals and pricing.
• Continuously improving our sales management standards, practices, and principles.
• Monitor and analyse market trends and develop effective strategies for these.
• Build and maintain long-term mutually beneficial relationships with our clients.

To be successful in this position you will need:

• B2B Solution Sales experience ideally in an engineering or technical services environment,
• The willingness to identify and chase new opportunities,
• The ability to grow and manage existing client accounts and
• Be accountable for your effort and activity.

Qualifications in mechanical engineering or aligned experience will be useful. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Intra and interstate travel with overnight stays on occasion will be required so you will need a valid driver’s license. This position will have you working with the executive leadership team and can be based in our Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney office, all with onsite parking, and modern facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentoring mid-level and junior staff through reviewing work, providing clear, concise and supportive feedback within a culture-focused environment
• Preparation and review of monthly management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts for clients’ businesses
• Explaining the key insights from financial information and management reporting to small business owners, in a clear and simple manner
• Utilising Xero to build dashboards that deliver accurate and timely financial insights 
• Prioritising and handling multiple tasks and jobs effectively, while still maintaining high-quality work
• Being the focal point for all queries and advice from your clients, ensuring they get the support they need from our services
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with your clients, working with them to achieve their business goals.
• Remaining current on industry trends, changes in regulations and best practices, and effectively communicating this information to clients in a clear and simple manner

Requirements

• Degree qualified with minimum 2-4 years’ experience in public practice
• CPA or CA qualified
• This role can require some travel to our clients businesses. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle on weekdays is required
• Experience working with small business clients
• Proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and review the work of junior staff

Salary

• $100,000-$120,000 + super (depending on experience) + company mobile + km allowance
