The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our operations team as a Project Execution Manager. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and supplies steel building products, solutions and services through leading brands: Lysaght & Fielders. Join our team and make a significant impact as we foster long lasting partnerships for future growth.
In this market-facing role, you will partner closely with the installer segment customers to strengthen our ability to grow and increase opportunities for our Fielders and Lysaght specialty products portfolio. You will achieve this by holding and increasing specifications from our BDM network and converting these to sales orders whilst supporting and project managing the supply of these product solutions into a range of construction sectors.
Working closely with the state Specifications and Sales teams, you’ll further enhance awareness and understanding of our product solution offerings to the building market.
What Will You Do?
As an effective influencer who enjoys managing multiple priorities and stakeholders, you will:
- convert product specifications into sales: take ownership of new specifications in the building tender stage until projects are awarded to our customers – identify suitable installer customers aligned to specifications and develop quotes, supporting our customers to secure tenders and achieving new sales orders for specialty products
- contribute to the growth of the specification pipeline: help the Specification and Sales teams to support and hold specifications with builders to deliver into a sales order
- project manage the delivery and installation of sales orders: oversee implementation of supply, delivery and installation for specialty product orders including attending building sites
- develop and nurture meaningful relationships: maintain close partnerships with internal teams and installer customers to guarantee seamless end-to-end execution of specifications, reinforcing our superior and premium product solution in the market
- educate key industry stakeholders: educate top tier builders and architects on our specialty product solutions offering including ad hoc involvement in industry presentations and events
More About You:
With your extensive exposure to major commercial projects in the building and construction industry (ideally within the formwork sector), you will bring:
- experience in a market-facing role where you directly partnered with customers
- a network of contacts within the building sector (including Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Cost Planners)
- substantial experience with concurrently managing multiple projects
- a demonstrated ability to work constructively across different internal teams to execute project deliverables
