Your new company is a mining contractor that specialises in geotechnical and construction services who have an ongoing joint venture in PNG. They are seeking a Human Resources and Admin Superintendent to manage the HR functions of the site administration team in line with local and group requirements. This is a FIFO role, on a 22-day on and 20 day off roster.
Your new role
Reporting to the Project Human Resources Manager, you will:


Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures that will contribute to an effective organisational structure and culture


Ensure HR requirements are identified, that resources are assigned and effective, and that a positive, harmonious, and engaging workplace environment is maintained.


Create training and development and coaching opportunities for each staff member


Ensure compliance with labour law and wider legislation impacting on the work environment, i.e. Anti-discriminatory, sexual harassment, domestic abuse laws


Implement strategies for a positive work environment


Functional process analysis & redesign interdepartmental functioning and process flows


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require:


Extensive post graduate HR generalist experience within the resources or heavy industry sector


Previous FIFO experience to a developing country


Knowledge of PNG Labour Laws is highly regarded


Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Police Check


A strong understanding and applied knowledge of human resources and training practices.

• Participate in scheduled training and development provided by Accor to improve self and department standards
• Attend Departmental and Body Corporate meetings as required

• General public area cleaning duties, gardening duties and pool maintenance tasks as required
